Upon arriving in Egypt, you'll be greeted at Cairo International Airport by a Cairo Top Tours representative, who will hold a sign with your name. From there, you'll be transported to your hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. Once at the hotel, you'll receive a warm welcome with a refreshing drink. Our staff will help with a seamless check-in process and go over your Egypt Easter itinerary, ensuring that all pick-up times for your daily excursions are well coordinated.

Spend the night in Cairo.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your hotel, you'll meet your tour guide to begin your exciting day.

Your first stop will be the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, the last remaining wonder of the ancient world, standing since 2500 B.C. You'll also visit the Pyramid of Chephren, built by King Chephren, the son of Cheops, and the Pyramid of Mycerinus. Don’t miss a stop at the Valley Temple for further exploration.

Throughout your visit to the Giza pyramids, you'll have the opportunity to see all the pyramids up close and capture beautiful photos to create lasting memories.

Afterward, you’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Saqqara to explore the Step Pyramid Complex. This site, constructed for King Djoser's burial by his minister Imhotep between 2717 B.C. and 2737 B.C., is revered as the first significant stone building in history. Here, you'll also see the Pyramid of Teti and visit the tombs of the nobles, which provide insight into daily life in ancient Egypt.

Next, you'll travel to Memphis, founded around 3,200 years ago by King Narmer. Once the capital during the Old Kingdom, it remains an important city today. You'll visit an open-air museum featuring various renowned monuments, including two statues of King Ramses II and the alabaster Sphinx of Memphis.

Our representative will provide detailed explanations about this historical area and help you take beautiful photographs to commemorate your visit.

Later, you’ll return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.

Next, you’ll visit the Citadel of Saladin, built by the famous Islamic leader Sultan Saladin. Within the citadel, you’ll see the stunning alabaster mosque, constructed by King Mohamed Ali around 200 years ago during Turkey's rule in Egypt.

Coptic Cairo

Your journey continues in Coptic Cairo, where you will visit the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon and the Hanging Church, which sits high above its historic ramparts. You’ll also explore the Church of St. Sergius, which includes a crypt where the Holy Family is said to have stayed for nearly three months, as well as the spring from which they drew water. Next, visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue, believed to be located at the site of Pharaoh's palace, where the basket of Moses was discovered in the Nile.

Islamic Cairo

Continue your exploration of Islamic Cairo, wandering through the ancient walls and gates of this medieval city and its streets dating back to the 10th century. Your tour concludes with a delightful tea break at Fishawy, the oldest café in Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s historic bazaar.

After a full day of discovery, you will return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.

Day Trip to Alexandria from Cairo

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your tour guide to embark on a day trip to Alexandria, often referred to as the "shining pearl of the Mediterranean" and the second-largest city in Egypt. Founded by Alexander the Great in 332 B.C., this city is rich in history.

Your Egyptologist guide will drive you to Alexandria in a modern car, taking about two hours. We’ll stop along the way for a break, where you can relax, grab a drink, or stretch your legs.

Pompey’s Pillar

Your first stop will be Pompey’s Pillar, the last remaining pillar from the ancient Roman temple known as the Serapeum.

Citadel of Qaitbay

Next, you’ll visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, built by the Mamluk rulers to protect the Mediterranean coastline from the Ottomans. This fortification stands on the site where the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, once stood but no longer exists.

Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa

Then, explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, the largest Roman cemetery in Egypt, featuring three tiers of tombs and beautifully adorned burial chambers of a wealthy Romanized Egyptian family.

Bibliotheca of Alexandria

You’ll also be amazed by the Bibliotheca of Alexandria, which was not only a significant ancient library but also a center for learning and scientific research that attracted scholars from across the Mediterranean. The new Bibliotheca, a modern marvel, shines like a beacon of knowledge along the seafront.

Church of St. Mark and Old Downtown

You will visit the Church of St. Mark, one of Africa’s oldest churches, and stroll through the old downtown area of Alexandria, where you can explore local markets filled with traditional Egyptian sweets and treats. The area features stunning architecture with baroque designs alongside Italian and French influences.

You’ll have the chance to walk through the bustling Mansheya market, experiencing the traditional ladies' markets (zan'et elsetat) with their narrow alleys, as well as the gold market where jewelry for weddings and engagements is sold.

Abbo Elabbas Mosque

Continue your journey to the grand Abbo Elabbas Mosque, known as the most beautiful mosque in the city. Nearby, you’ll see a charming old fairground where children enjoy vintage rides and candy floss. Lunch and Return to Cairo
