Upon arrival, you'll dive into history with a guided tour of the World War II Museum, where you'll learn about the significant battles that took place in Alamein, complete with detailed accounts of the armies involved and the heavy toll on young soldiers.

The tour also includes visits to the Commonwealth Cemetery, where you can pay your respects to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives, as well as the Australian, Italian, and German memorial cemeteries. After this moving experience, you'll continue your journey with a two-hour drive to Marsa Matrouh, where you'll enjoy a delicious oriental lunch at a reputable local restaurant. The day concludes with your arrival at Siwa Oasis, where you'll check in at your eco-lodge. After some rest, and time permitting, you can unwind with a dip in one of the natural hot springs to soothe your muscles after a day of travel.

Overnight at a hotel in Siwa Oasis.

Meals: Lunch.

Start your day with a traditional Egyptian breakfast at your hotel before diving into your Egypt Travel Package itinerary. Your first stop is the ancient town of Shali, located at the heart of Siwa. Here, you’ll explore the historic Shali Fortress, constructed using the unique kerchief method, which blends salt, mud, and clay to keep the interiors cool. Although built in the 13th century, parts of the fortress were damaged by heavy rains in the 1930s, leaving behind a fascinating blend of history and architecture.

Next, you'll visit Siwa's most significant landmark, the Temple of Alexander the Great, also known as the Temple of the Oracle of Amun. This site gained fame after Alexander the Great's visit, where he sought confirmation from the oracle that he was the son of Zeus (Amun Re in ancient Egyptian belief). The temple, dating back to the 26th Dynasty, is located in the ancient Aghurmi Village.

Your journey continues to the remnants of the Temple of Amun at Um Ubayda, once dedicated to the gods Amun, Mut, and Khonso. The temple was largely destroyed in 1869 when the Siwan governor demolished it to build a palace and a presidential resthouse.

To delve deeper into Siwan culture, you’ll visit the Siwan House, a museum created by the locals to preserve their heritage, showcasing traditional customs, tools, and daily life artifacts. After a satisfying lunch at a quality local restaurant, spend a leisurely afternoon at Cleopatra’s Spring, also known as Ein Guba. Here, you can soak in the warm, mineral-rich waters of this natural spring, which is famous for its healing properties. The day concludes with a return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the Eco-lodge before embarking on your Siwa Oasis Desert Safari. Your adventure kicks off at Maraki Village, where you’ll explore the remarkable Great Siwa Mountain, home to the earliest human footprint ever discovered, dating back to prehistoric times.

Continue your journey across the dunes, making a stop at a fascinating fossil area where ancient rocky coral reefs, remnants from the Cambrian period, are still visible. The next highlight is a visit to the Great Sand Sea, renowned as the third-largest sand formation on the planet. Here, you’ll embark on an exhilarating Jeep Safari, with a stop at a stunning desert lake—an ideal spot for a swim, accompanied by the friendly Tilapia fish.

For an extra thrill, try your hand at Sandboarding. Although it may not be as speedy as snowboarding, a bit of wax on the board allows you to glide down the towering dunes for an exciting experience.

Afterward, unwind in the natural hot spring known as Bir Wahid (Well Number 1), a popular spot in Siwa where you can soak away any tension. Conclude your day by witnessing a breathtaking sunset over the Great Sand Sea, sipping on a refreshing lemon-leaf Bedouin tea amidst the golden dunes.

Overnight in Siwa.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.

Begin your day with a breakfast at the Eco-lodge before heading out to explore the ancient rock-cut tombs at the Mountain of the Dead (Gabal El Mauta). Here, you’ll discover the remarkable tombs of Siwa’s rulers from the 26th dynasty, including the tomb of Si Amon and the Crocodile Tomb, named for its well-preserved crocodile paintings, though its original occupant remains unknown.

Next, visit the Bedouin Village of Abu Ali, where you’ll get a glimpse of traditional Bedouin life and experience the unique echo effect in the surrounding canyon-like mountains.

Returning to Siwa, you’ll visit the renowned Dakrour Mountain, a site of annual celebrations during the October full moon, where locals gather for the Tourism Festival (El Syaha).

As the day winds down, head to the serene Fitnas Island to enjoy a picturesque sunset, savoring a hot local drink. Capture the moment with timelapse photos before returning to the city center for an overnight stay at your Eco-lodge.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.

After enjoying breakfast in Siwa, you will be transferred back to Cairo. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel for an overnight stay, preparing for an early start the next day for your trip to Bahariya Oasis.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.

Begin your journey from Cairo to Bahariya Oasis early in the morning, with lunch served during the drive. As the sun begins to set, you'll head up Black Mountain in a 4WD Jeep to explore the ruins of the English House, offering a panoramic view of the Oasis and the Salt Lake, framed by lush date palm groves.

Your adventure continues with a visit to the Museum of the Golden Mummies, where you'll marvel at mummies adorned in gold from the Greco-Roman era. Next, explore the Tombs of Nobles at Qasr Sleem, including the rock-cut tombs of Zed-Amun-Ef-Ankh and Bannentiu, followed by the Temple of Ain El Muftella, dedicated to the ancient Egyptian god Bes, and the Temple of Alexander the Great, now mostly in ruins.

Travel onward through the striking landscapes of the Black Desert, with its volcano-like mountains and small black stones, and pass through the Valley of El Haize, known for its refreshing spring. Make a stop at Crystal Mountain to admire the sparkling quartz, and then continue to the breathtaking Valley of Agabat.

End your day camping in the White Desert, where you'll witness a mesmerizing sunset while your guides prepare a delicious dinner. Spend the night under the stars in this otherworldly landscape.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.

On the following morning, start your day with breakfast at the campsite before heading to a soothing hot spring. Here, you can unwind and enjoy the serene, warm waters. Afterward, you'll journey back to Bahariya Oasis and then continue your drive back to Cairo.

No, previous desert experience is not necessary. Professional guides will provide instructions and ensure your safety throughout the tour. Just be prepared for a unique and exciting adventure!

It is recommended to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing made of breathable fabrics like cotton. Light layers are useful for adjusting to temperature changes. Additionally, don't forget to wear sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun.

To participate in desert safaris, it's best to dress appropriately for the harsh environmental conditions and hot weather. Here are some tips on what to wear:

Light and loose clothing: Wearing light, loose-fitting clothing helps ventilate and cool the body in the extreme heat.

Hat or headgear: Protecting your head from direct sunlight with a wide-brimmed hat or cap helps minimize the chances of heat stress.

Sunglasses: Protect the eyes from the sun's strong rays by using sunglasses with UV protection.

Sunscreen: Use a sunscreen with a high protection factor to avoid sunburn.

Comfortable shoes: Wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking in sand and rocks.

Long clothes: In some cases, you may need to wear long clothes to protect the skin from the sun and environmental factors.

Food and drinks: You should have enough water and a snack to avoid dehydration and fatigue.

It is difficult to suggest a personal spending budget that will work for everyone. We recommend, as a general rule, spending between $25 and $45 dollars per day. (Not counting the entrance fees charged by your guide. If you think you can go shopping, take more than that.
