Grand Aquarium Hurghada Ticket

Aquarium: The first aquarium in Hurghada

The aquarium is a huge aquarium that houses distinctive types of marine creatures with distinctive colors that catch the eye, but what distinguishes the aquarium in Hurghada is its inclusion of fish tanks, a tropical rainforest, and a suspended tunnel.

Grand Aquarium Hurghada
In order to keep pace with the development of tourism activities to attract new categories of tourists, a number of Egyptian investors in Hurghada, in cooperation with Hurghada governorate and a number of ministries, designed an integrated scientific research center within the city, named “Grand Aquarium”, which is one of the best tourist attraction, educational, entertainment and educational centers, for all family members of different age groups.

It is located minutes away from Hurghada International Airport and between the roads of the tourist villages area. It has an area of 44,000 m2, while the area of buildings within it reaches 22,000 m2, as the project was planned in 3 complementary and developmental phases. You can learn more about Egypt through Egypt Travel Guide.
“The Grand Aquarium allows visitors to communicate with the creatures of the Red Sea and get to know them closely through more than 22 tanks that include the most well-known and rare species of Red Sea fish.

The Grand Aquarium has contributed to placing Hurghada on the list of the most important tourist cities in the world, as the first project of its kind on the African continent and the seventh in the world.

Glass tunnels
You can wander through the corridors of the aquarium, and inside the 24-meter-long glass tunnel, you can see fish and marine creatures that you have never seen before, where you can take the most beautiful souvenir photos. You can book more trips via Egypt Day Tours.
After your tour of the fish tunnels ends, you find yourself in front of a zoo and wild birds that includes rare species of living creatures, which makes the project different from its counterparts in developed countries, as such projects are usually limited to aquariums only.

The Grand Aquarium is ranked seventh in the world in terms of the area and the amount of gallons of water inside it, as it includes one million gallons of salt water, and when the second phase of its development ends, it will include 3.8 million gallons of water, reaching 8.8 million gallons of salt water in the third phase to put Hurghada on the list of the world's largest tourist attractions.

Aquarium design
Experts in different scientific fields were used to contribute to the design of the aquarium in an appropriate manner that creates an environment conducive to the life of different organisms with the diversity of their environment and life conditions, as the project used doctors, researchers and specialists from England, Germany, France, Malaysia, China, Greece and Mexico, in addition to Egyptian engineers and technicians, to design the project in a manner appropriate to the nature of the environment in the Red Sea region.
As you wander through the rainforest, you can enjoy the heavy rains, forked branches and tangled trees, while listening to the sounds of nature and its rare birds.

Open forest
As for the Open Forest... Among the jungles and jungles of “Grand Aquarium” you move among the free animals that their trainers were able to tame them so that they do not attack humans, there are “ostriches, bushbirds, swans, Egyptian geese, monkeys, goats, anacondas, huge snakes, as well as iguanas, Nile crocodiles, Sudanese, African, Greek and other turtles.”

Freshwater area
And in the freshwater fish area ... Your journey begins with freshwater waterfalls that contain many fish with their distinctive colors and shapes to give visitors an opportunity to learn about them and their lifestyle.

Hanging tower
After you exit the freshwater area ... Your feet take you up to the hanging tower, which gives you a sense of adventure, so you pass on pieces of wood adjoining over the open forest to see all the animals and birds, and see the details of the aquarium with clear accuracy, moving quietly on a corridor much like the design of hanging towers in children's stories.
The Saltwater Zone
Saltwater aquariums often attract a large number of tourists, because they include huge and distinctive sea creatures, there in the aquarium's saltwater tanks - the number of which reached you will see whales, sharks and many strange and strange aquatic creatures, trained by a diver who trained them from a young age.

Touch Pond area
It is the favorite area for children, where they can get closer to the fish, eels and Red Sea artifacts, touch them, take pictures with them, learn about them, and especially feed them according to their proper feeding time, accompanied by fish curators and specialists.

Whale Valley
The Whale Valley Hall at the Hurghada Grand Aquarium represents the Whale Valley area within the Wadi Al-Rayyan Reserve in Fayoum, where complete whale skeletons were found that lived in that area about 40 million years ago, which was part of a large ocean that included North Africa, which was classified in 2005 as a World Heritage Area according to UNESCO's choice.
