President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi
After the May presidential elections, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi took the oath for the presidency and became Egypt's new leader after obtaining 97% of votes against his only challenger, Hamdeen Sabahi. Sisi had served as minister of defense before to giving up his position in March to run for president.
