Early in the morning, our tour leader will meet and greet you outside Sohkna Port with an air-conditioned vehicle and driver. Then, he will pick you up and transfer you to Cairo to begin your unforgettable adventure.
First, we will visit the Giza pyramids, which are Huge stone structures built by the ancient Egyptians during the Old and Middle Kingdoms as royal tombs for the pharaohs, the most famous of which are the Pyramids of Giza (Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure). They were built with great precision using huge stones, and it is believed that they took from 20 to 30 years to construct. The Giza complex includes smaller royal pyramids, the Sphinx, and a group of temples and tombs. In addition, you will have an opportunity to see the great Sphinx. It is a huge monument that reflects the power and protection of the Pyramids.
After that, we will move to Memphis, which was the ancient Egyptian capital for over a thousand years. It consists of the remains of temples, palaces, and other buildings. King Narmer made this city the capital of ancient Egypt after he reunited Upper and Lower Egypt.
Next, we will visit Saqqara. Saqqara (also spelled Sakkara) is an extensive ancient burial ground located about 30 kilometres (19 miles) south of Cairo, near Memphis. It's home to the world's oldest pyramid, the Step Pyramid of Djoser. It is the oldest stone building in the world and the first pyramid ever constructed in Egypt. The architect Imhotep designed it. This pyramid represents an extreme revolution from the traditional mastaba tombs to those flat Pyramids like in Giza.
After that, we will visit The Papyrus Institute. Papyrus is an ancient type of paper that was invented by the ancient Egyptians more than 5,000 years ago. It was made from the papyrus plant (Cyperus papyrus), a tall, reed-like plant that grew naturally along the banks of the Nile River. In addition, it was used by the ancient Egyptians to keep their science and history. They used it to draw their daily habits at this time and how they communicated with the gods and goddesses of Egypt. In The Papyrus Institute, you can see how papyrus was made and learn about its importance in Egyptian life. You can make your own papyrus!. After that, we will have lunch in a good nearby restaurant.
Finally, we will transfer you to the Sokhna Port for your final departure.
