When you get to Alexandria port, our tour guide will be waiting for you in a contemporary, air-conditioned car, and you will be driven to Cairo in elegance.
One of Egypt's most fascinating and ancient archaeological sites is Saqqara, which we visited on our day trip. Numerous ancient Egyptian sites can be found there, and it is situated south of Cairo. The Step Pyramid, the Imhotep Museum, the Tomb of Mereruka, and the Ti Tomb will also be visited as part of our itinerary. We'll stop for lunch at a nearby eatery as well.
The Step Pyramid, one of Saqqara's oldest and most well-known monuments, will be our first stop. In the 27th century BC, it was constructed for the Pharaoh Djoser and is considered to be the first true pyramid. The pyramid is made up of six steps, and each step is taller than the one below it.
Make sure to visit The Imhotep Museum if you want to learn more about the talented architect Imhotep. A copy of his tomb is on exhibit at this museum, which is devoted to his life and achievements.
The biggest and most ornate tomb at Saqqara is the Tomb of Mereruka, which we will also visit. It has more than 60 chambers and was constructed in the 24th century BC for the Vizier Mereruka.
The Tomb of Ti, the tomb of Pharaoh Ti, who ruled Egypt in the fourteenth century BC, will be our next stop. Despite being smaller than the other tombs in Saqqara, it is nonetheless rather striking.
A trip to the Serapeum that is intriguing! It was unique to descend a lengthy underground tunnel that led to a burial site for Apis, sacred bulls, and a number of enormous ancient sarcophagi.
After visiting all of these incredible locations as part of our day trip to Saqqara, you will join a Felucca, a traditional Egyptian boat, at the pier for a leisurely journey down the Nile. There, you may take in Cairo's amazing nightlife or eat a BBQ lunch while lounging in the sun. We'll finally take you back to the port of Alexandria.
