Upon arrival at Alexandria Port, our representative will meet and greet you at the port exit gate, and transport you to Cairo in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle (the journey takes around 3 hours, including a short restroom break).
Your Cairo Day Tour from Alexandria Port begins with a visit to the Giza Plateau. The Giza Pyramids are among the most iconic monuments of ancient Egypt and one of the last surviving wonders of the ancient world. This extraordinary complex dates back to the 4th Dynasty of the Old Kingdom (around 2600–2500 BC).
Then, begin an exciting camel ride around the Giza Pyramids, taking in the breathtaking scenery. Then, visit the Valley Temple of King Chephren, the only remaining mummification temple in Giza. After that, see the Great Sphinx, standing 20 meters tall, carved from Giza rock with a lion’s body and a human head, reflecting royal power and authority.
Then, you will head to a local restaurant to enjoy traditional Egyptian cuisine. Then, you will head to the New Grand Egyptian Museum. The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) is the newest and largest archaeological museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization, including the treasures of the Golden Pharaoh Tutankhamun. If time permits, your guide will take you to Khan El Khalili, one of Cairo's oldest bazaars in the heart of Islamic Cairo, for a unique shopping experience.
Finally, you'll return to Alexandria Port.
