You’ll travel to Siwa Oasis via the El Alamein road, with your first stop at the historical El Alamein area. Here, you can visit the World War II museum and stroll through the cemeteries of soldiers who fought in this pivotal conflict. In 1942, the Allies, led by Britain’s Field Marshal Montgomery, achieved a significant victory against the German-Italian forces advancing toward the Nile River. This victory, while crucial, came at a great cost, with approximately 11,000 lives lost and 60,000 injured.

Your personal guide and driver will take you to the Commonwealth War Cemetery, which features memorials established by the Australian and New Zealand governments. You'll find 7,000 white headstones honoring the brave soldiers from Australia, New Zealand, and Britain who fought and died in El Alamein. You’ll visit the battlefield site and spend time exploring the museum, learning about this important chapter in history.

After finishing your tour of El Alamein, you’ll drive along the stunning bay of Marsa Matrouh on the Mediterranean coast, where you’ll enjoy a delicious seafood lunch. Then, you’ll continue on to Siwa Oasis, which is about a four-hour drive from Marsa Matrouh.

Upon your arrival in Siwa, you’ll have dinner and spend the night in a charming eco-lodge, surrounded by the beauty of the oasis.

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at the eco-lodge before continuing your Siwa Oasis adventure, which began from Cairo. Your first stop will be the historic ruins of the Old Town of Shali, where you can explore its fascinating architecture.

Next, you'll head to the Temple of Alexander the Great, also known as the Temple of the Oracle, located in Aghurmi village and dating back to the 26th Dynasty. You'll also visit the Temple of Amun Ra, known as the Temple of Um Ubeyda.

Immerse yourself in the unique Siwan culture at the Siwa House Museum. For lunch, enjoy delicious local dishes at Abdo restaurant, situated in the charming square that overlooks Shali.

Afterward, you will visit the Mountain of the Dead (Jabal el Mawta) to explore the intriguing tombs of Siwa’s rulers from the 26th Dynasty, including the tombs of SI Amon, MSW Isis, and the Crocodile Tomb.

In the afternoon, relax at Cleopatra Spring, where you can swim and refresh yourself in the sparkling waters. Afterward, you’ll be transferred to Fitnas Island to experience a breathtaking sunset view, truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment.

You’ll spend the night in Siwa, enjoying the peaceful ambiance of the oasis.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, embark on the second day of your Siwa Desert Safari. Accompanied by your Egyptologist guide, you'll set off in a 4x4 to explore the Great Sand Sea.

Begin your desert adventure by traversing the sweeping golden dunes until you reach the fossil area, where you'll encounter ancient rocky coral reefs from the Cambrian period. Next, visit a picturesque lake nestled in the heart of the desert, where you might catch a glimpse of flamingos. Take a refreshing swim in the cool waters and relish the tranquil desert ambiance.

Continue your journey by passing Dakrour Mountain, where you'll have the opportunity to try sandboarding. Although it’s less speedy than snowboarding, the right amount of wax will help you glide down the vast sand dunes of the Great Sand Sea for an exhilarating experience. After sandboarding, unwind in the hot springs of Bir Wahid, known for its soothing and relaxing qualities.

Conclude your day with another stunning sunset over the Great Sand Sea while sipping Bedouin tea amidst the dunes.
