You'll explore the Great Pyramid of King Khufu (Cheops) and the pyramids of the notable kings of ancient Egypt's 4th dynasty, including King Khafre (Chephren) and King Menkaure (Mycerinus) from the Old Kingdom. You'll also see the Great Sphinx, a colossal statue with the head of a Pharaoh and the body of a lion. Next, visit the Valley Temple, which offers a stunning view of the Giza Pyramids and is dedicated to the mummification process of the Pharaoh.
After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, you'll head to the Egyptian Museum. Here, you can admire a vast collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts made from gold, silver, and bronze.
Your tour continues to Coptic Cairo, where you'll visit the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon, the Hanging Church of the Holy Virgin Mary, and the Church of St. Sergius (the Holy Family Church), built atop the crypt where the Holy Family stayed for about three months. You'll also see the Ben Ezra Synagogue, originally a Christian church that the Copts sold to the Jews to pay taxes, later bought back by Abraham Ben Ezra of Jerusalem for 20,000 dinars.
Next, you'll embark on an Islamic Cairo tour to explore this historic area. Discover the walls, gates, and streets dating back to the 10th century, and visit the Khan El Khalili bazaar, Cairo's oldest market, behind Al Moez Street. Enjoy shopping and relax at the famous El Fishawy cafe.
Finally, you’ll be transferred to the airport or any preferred location in Cairo.
