After enjoying a buffet breakfast at your Cairo hotel, your certified guide will take you to the Giza Pyramids, where you’ll finally experience the awe of standing before the Great Pyramid of Cheops. This iconic structure, the largest of the ancient Egyptian pyramids, served as a tomb for the pharaohs during the Old Kingdom. You'll also explore the pyramids of Chephren and Mycerinus and marvel at the majestic Sphinx, thought to have been constructed during the Fourth Dynasty. For a bit of adventure, you have the option to take a camel ride around the pyramids. Your visit will also include the Valley Temple, where King Chephren's mummification took place.
Next, your driver and Egyptologist guide will accompany you to the Egyptian Museum, located in the heart of Cairo. Here, you’ll discover a remarkable collection of antiquities spanning over 6,000 years of history, including 160,000 artifacts made of gold, silver, and massive stone blocks, as well as royal sarcophagi, statues of ancient Egyptian kings, the royal mummies, and the funerary collection of Yuya and Tuya, King Tutankhamen's great-grandparents.
After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, you'll continue your tour in Islamic Cairo. Explore the ancient walls and gates of the city while immersing yourself in the daily life of the locals.
To end the day, relax with a cup of mint tea or a refreshing mango juice at El Fishawy, the oldest operating café in Egypt, nestled in the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar. Here, you can soak in the vibrant atmosphere of Cairo's most renowned marketplace.
After your tour, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel for an overnight stay. If you're interested, you can also arrange with your guide to enjoy an optional Nile Dinner Cruise with an entertainment show in Cairo.
