Early in the morning, enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Then, meet up with your expert Egyptologist to start your adventure with your first stop, the Giza Pyramids, and enjoy your Giza Pyramids tour.
You will stand close to the only remaining wonder of the 7 wonders of the ancient world. The Giza Plateau served as the royal burial site during Egypt's Old Kingdom, specifically in the 4th Dynasty around 2600 BC. Here stand the three Great Pyramids built for Pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, each acting as a monumental tomb designed to ensure the king’s safe passage to the afterlife. Then, you can have an optional activity with your Bedouin guide and capture amazing photos for you while enjoying a camel ride around the Giza Pyramids. Before moving, see the glorious Sphinx of Giza. The Valley Temple of Chephren is where royal mummies were mummified as part of the funeral rituals.
Have your delicious lunch in one of the most stunning restaurants, watching the pyramids and the sphinx before continuing your visit to Saqqara. Saqqara is one of Egypt’s most important and fascinating archaeological sites. It is the first capital of Egypt. Located 30 kilometres south of Cairo, Saqqara is best known as the site of the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the oldest pyramid ever built worldwide, and it is the first monumental stone structure.
After that, begin Quad biking at the Sahara Desert adventure in the Giza Pyramids. Finally, transfer back to the hotel for overnight.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
After breakfast, meet your Egyptologist guide to begin your Cairo city tour, starting with a visit to the Egyptian Museum. Located in the renowned Tahrir Square, spend approximately two hours exploring this vast museum, which houses over 120,000 artifacts spanning various epochs. Admire statues of kings and deities, large sarcophagi, jewelry, everyday life items, and mummies. Standing before each masterpiece for just one minute would require nearly three continuous months. Marvel at the exquisite golden collection from the New Kingdom of King Tutankhamen, discovered in 1922 within his tomb in the Valley of the Kings.
Next, proceed to Old Cairo for your Coptic Cairo tour. Visit the site of the Roman Fortress of Babylon, now mostly in ruins except for its foundations, where the Hanging Church of the Holy Virgin Mary is suspended between two towers. Explore the Cavern Church of St. Sergius and the ancient Ben Ezra Synagogue, originally a Christian church before being sold to the wealthy Jewish merchant Ben Ezra.
Return to your hotel to prepare for a delightful dinner cruise on the Nile in Cairo. Your tour leader will escort you to the Nile Corniche to board the cruise boat for a two-hour journey. Indulge in an Egyptian cuisine buffet dinner while enjoying traditional entertainment, including belly dancing and a Tanoura dance show.
