Itinerary
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, a representative from Cairo Top Tours will greet you with a sign displaying your name. You will be escorted to your hotel in an exclusive air-conditioned vehicle for check-in. Rest assured, your 4-day Cairo Short Break itinerary has been reviewed to ensure that all sightseeing tours in Cairo are meticulously planned according to the approved schedule.

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before meeting your expert Egyptologist guide for your excursion to the Giza necropolis and your tour of the Giza Pyramids. Here, you'll stand in awe of the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, the sole remaining wonder of the ancient world. Built 4500 years ago as the eternal resting place for the semi-divine king, this monumental structure stands impressively at 146 meters tall and 230 meters long on each side, a testament to the greatness and superiority of Egypt's ancient kings who erected such incredible monuments at the dawn of history. The stone blocks, weighing between 5 to 25 tons each, were quarried nearby and transported for construction.
Next, ascend to the high plateau for a panoramic view of the three pyramids, including those of King Chephren and King Mycerinus, along with the smaller queen's pyramids that offer evidence of their once-beautiful outer casing. Opt for an exhilarating camel ride around the Giza Pyramids (optional activity) while capturing amazing photos with your Bedouin guide. Then, proceed to behold the majestic Sphinx of Giza, part of King Chephren's pyramid complex, believed to symbolize the king's power as both a lion and a genius with its legendary lion body and human head. Nearby, visit the Valley Temple of Chephren, hewn from bedrock, where royal mummification took place as part of ancient funeral rituals.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at one of the charming restaurants overlooking the pyramids and Sphinx before continuing your exploration to Saqqara. This ancient necropolis predates the Giza pyramids by approximately 200 years and features the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the first-ever stone pyramid built by the renowned architect Imhotep. This pyramid, with its six rectangular steps and burial pit 20 meters below ground, marks a significant advancement in pyramid construction. Wander through the original enclosure walls and the heb-sed court, where the king reaffirmed his reign over the kingdom every 30 years.
Explore further by entering the pyramid of King Teti from the 6th dynasty and marvel at the tomb of his son-in-law Kagemni, adorned with intricately carved scenes depicting daily life and hunting scenes, remarkably preserved with original colors.
Conclude the day with a lunch break at a quality restaurant before embarking on an adventurous quad biking excursion around the Giza Pyramids for one hour. Meet your Bedouin guide for an introductory session on quad bike usage before setting off on your thrilling tour. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, meet your Egyptologist guide to begin your Cairo city tour, starting with a visit to the Egyptian Museum. Located in the renowned Tahrir Square, spend approximately two hours exploring this vast museum, which houses over 120,000 artifacts spanning various epochs. Admire statues of kings and deities, large sarcophagi, jewelry, everyday life items, and mummies. Standing before each masterpiece for just one minute would require nearly three continuous months. Marvel at the exquisite golden collection from the New Kingdom of King Tutankhamen, discovered in 1922 within his tomb in the Valley of the Kings.
Next, proceed to Old Cairo for your Coptic Cairo tour. Visit the site of the Roman Fortress of Babylon, now mostly in ruins except for its foundations, where the Hanging Church of the Holy Virgin Mary is suspended between two towers. Explore the Cavern Church of St. Sergius and the ancient Ben Ezra Synagogue, originally a Christian church before being sold to the wealthy Jewish merchant Ben Ezra.
Return to your hotel to prepare for a delightful dinner cruise on the Nile in Cairo. Your tour leader will escort you to the Nile Corniche to board the cruise boat for a two-hour journey. Indulge in an Egyptian cuisine buffet dinner while enjoying traditional entertainment, including belly dancing and a Tanoura dance show.
After the cruise, transfer back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
