Upon arriving at Cairo International Airport, you’ll be met by our representative who will assist you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in and some much-needed rest after your journey. Your first day starts with a visit to the magnificent Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. These ancient pyramids have withstood centuries of wars, earthquakes, and the passage of time to remain one of Egypt’s most popular tourist sites. They are believed to be burial tombs for three great pharaohs: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure.
You’ll also explore several smaller pyramids, constructed for the wives and mothers of the kings. The most well-known of these is the pyramid of Queen Hetepheres, the mother of King Khufu and wife of King Snefru, who also owned the famous collection of treasures now displayed in the Egyptian Museum.
Afterward, you’ll visit the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, which houses over 120,000 historical items from various periods of Egypt’s extensive history, ranging from prehistory to more modern times. The museum’s collection features everything from everyday objects to religious artifacts from ancient Egypt.
Conclude your day with an overnight stay at your hotel.
