After breakfast at your hotel in Cairo, your private tour guide will meet you to start your Cairo Day Tours. You’ll visit the renowned Giza Plateau, where you can marvel at the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the last of the original seven wonders of the ancient world, along with the pyramids of Chephren and Mycerinus, descendants of Cheops and Snefru, the founder of the 4th Dynasty of ancient Egypt. You'll also see the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple, or Mummification Temple, situated in front of the grand statue. Your visit includes a panoramic view of the pyramids and an opportunity for a memorable photo session. A camel ride at the Giza Pyramids is available as an optional activity.
Next, we’ll head to the Saqqara Necropolis to explore the Step Pyramid Complex, featuring the world’s first entirely stone-built structure, the Djoser Step Pyramid. The tour includes access to the Pyramid of Teti, renowned for its stunning interior, and the Tombs of the Nobles, which offer a glimpse into daily life in ancient Egypt through detailed inscriptions and paintings on the walls of these 4,000-year-old tombs.
After lunch, we'll visit Memphis, the ancient capital of the pharaohs, which was a major religious and cultural centre for over a thousand years. In the open-air museum, you’ll see the alabaster sphinx, the second-largest of its kind, made from an 80-ton block of marble, and the impressive, broken statue of Ramses II. You’ll return to your hotel and spend the night in Cairo.
