They were built as royal tombs between approximately 2550 and 2490 B.C. and are notable for their astonishing geometric precision and enormous size; the Pyramid of Khufu is the largest of them all.

Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple: a unique funerary architectural masterpiece carved by Queen Hatshepsut into the heart of the mountain and built during the 18th Dynasty, named “Jesru,” meaning “the most sacred of the sacred,” and designed by the brilliant architect “Senenmut.” Furthermore, the temple departed from the traditional temple design, relying on a system of open “galleries” extending across three consecutive levels.
We will also visit the Colossi of Memnon (or the Giants of Memnon), two enormous stone statues of King “Amenhotep III” of the 18th Dynasty, located on the west bank of the city of Luxor in southern Egypt.
