It held the title of the world's tallest building until the construction of Lincoln Cathedral in 1311 A.D., after nearly 20 years of painstaking construction.
The day continues with a journey through ancient antiquities, visiting the Valley Temple of King Chephren, the Pyramid of Mycerinus, and the iconic Great Sphinx. Following exploration of the Giza plateau, you will be transported to downtown Cairo for a tour of the Egyptian Museum. This museum boasts over 120,000 artifacts, showcasing the exquisite mastery of ancient Egyptian art. Highlights include the fascinating golden collection of King Tutankhamen and an exploration of the royal mummies room.
