Continue to the Saqqara necropolis, renowned for its archaeological richness and home to 11 royal pyramids and numerous Mastaba tombs. Here, explore the Step Pyramid, the oldest pyramid built by Imhotep for King Djoser, marking the world's first stone building.

After breakfast, prepare to meet your knowledgeable English-speaking Egyptologist guide for a day tour to Alexandria from Cairo as part of our Cairo and Alexandria wheelchair-accessible tours. You'll be transported to Alexandria in air-conditioned vehicles, with the journey lasting approximately two and a half hours, including a break along the way.

Upon arrival in Alexandria, known as the shining pearl of the Mediterranean and Egypt's second capital, you'll begin your sightseeing at Pompey's Pillar. This ancient column, erected in 297 B.C., commemorates the victory of Roman Emperor Diocletian over a revolt in Alexandria.

Next, you'll visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, one of the largest Roman burial sites, discovered at the beginning of the 20th century.
