We will board MS Emilio Nile Cruise, a luxury Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan, after meeting our agent at the airport or Luxor train station. Start the itinerary exploring the tours of Luxor's east bank as you begin your first day trip in Egypt. The first day on board will be spent visiting the temples of Luxor and Karnak.

We've heard that taking a boat is the best way to see these places, so that's what we'll do. We'll start at the huge Karnak temple, where you can visit the historic ruins and learn about the area's past. You'll also have time to visit the neighborhood, which offers a great view of Thebes, and the Karnak Open Air Museum.

Next, we will go to Luxor Temple, one of the most famous structures in Egypt. Although this temple was built during the New Kingdom period (1539-1075 BC), it was a place of worship for a very long time before that. There are many temples in the area to visit on this day, some of which are dedicated to Egyptian deities such as Isis or Horus.

You can walk through the professional way that connects between Karnak and Luxor temples where the sacred barks of god Amen and his triad were carried by the priests through this way from Karnak temple to visit Luxor temple where the actual festival of Opet occurred there.

You will then return to your cruise and overnight there.

Meals: Lunch, Dinner

You can take a hot air balloon ride in Luxor in the early morning (optional).

We will see the Luxor west bank tour today. The temple of Queen Hatshepsut, popularly known as Deir el-Bahri, will be our first stop. Since its erection in the fifteenth century BC, it has been known as the temple of the daughter of King Thutmose III. The temple was built to celebrate and honor Amen, who had helped Hatshepsut become pharaoh by giving her a divine father figure in the form of Amen himself.

The next stop is the Valley of the Kings, a necropolis with several tombs belonging to the kings and aristocracy of the New Kingdom of Egypt (1550-1069 BC). These include the tombs of Tutankhamun, Ramses II, and Seti I.

Then we will go to the colossi Memnon, two huge stone statues of Amenhotep III that were moved to their present location in the 19th century CE.

Travel via Esna to Edfu and overnight at Esea.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We will spend some time exploring the historic towns of Kom Ombo and Edfu. Two of Egypt's most important temples are located here, the Temple of Horus and the Temple of Sobek.

You will begin your day by visiting the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Some of the best Egyptian art and architecture can be found here. Horus, the god of heaven and monarchy with a hawk's head, was the centerpiece of the temple built by Pharaoh Ptolemy II Philadelphus (285-246 BC). You will then go to Kom Ombo, where you will discover the importance of this place in relation to the desire of King Ramses II to unify Egypt (1279-1213 BC).

Then, you will go back down the Nile and finish your fantastic trip with a visit to Aswan.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

We will be in Aswan for the entire day. You will go to the Aswan High Dam, which prevents 90% of the water in Lake Nasser from flowing out. You will have the opportunity to learn the history of the dam and how it was built. Standing at the top of the dam, take a picture of the longest river in the world flowing underneath.

Next, you'll see the enormous Temple of Philae, which was carved out of granite rock. You'll also see the impressive Temple of Isis, one of only two remaining temples on the island of Philae, and the Unfinished Obelisk, which Ramses II started but never finished before he died.

Then enjoy your free time as you please. Dinner aboard the Tosca Nile Cruise in the evening before spending the night in Aswan.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Unfortunately, the fifth day of your sailing onboard MS Emilio along the Nile from Luxor to Aswan is coming to an end, but not before having another delicious breakfast on board. After breakfast, it will be time to say goodbye to everyone before being transported by one of our tour guides to the airport or train station in Aswan.
