In the morning, after breakfast, we'll visit Luxor's West Bank to begin the tour.
First, you'll explore the world-renowned *Valley of the Kings*, home to numerous mummies of queens and kings, including the notable tomb of King Amenhotep II (KV35). The rock quality in the Valley varies, from fine to coarse stone.
Next, we'll stop at one of Luxor's iconic sites, the *Colossi of Memnon*—two massive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep, each towering 60 feet (18 m) and weighing approximately 720 tons.
You'll then visit *El-Deir el-Bahari*, a complex of mortuary temples and tombs built by Queen Hatshepsut. It features three levels, each with a colonnade at the far end.
Optional: Morning hot air balloon ride.
