Itinerary

A Cairo Top Tours representative will meet you at Cairo International Airport when you arrive there. The private air-conditioned vehicle will take you to your hotel directly. The hotel staff will provide you with a welcome drink while they help you complete the check-in process. After breakfast at your hotel, you'll go on this Cairo tour with an expert Egyptologist briefing session before you travel to Giza. Your trip will take you to Giza for the purpose of visiting essential landmarks, which include the Valley Temple, the Great Sphinx, and the pyramids of Chephren, Mycerinus, and Cheops. The Giza Plateau offers visitors a complete view of its area while they can experience The pyramids through a 15-minute camel ride.

After you finish your lunch The guide will lead you to Saqqara, which contains the Step Pyramid Complex that showcases the first building to use stone materials. The Djoser Pyramid stands as the first pyramid that uses stone materials throughout its entire structure, while visitors can explore the Pyramid of Teti, which features beautiful artwork in its inner chambers. After your afternoon adventure you will return to the cruise ship to enjoy dinner and afternoon tea. The ship will serve as your accommodation for the night.

After having a delicious breakfast, we’ll head to Luxor’s West Bank for a day of exploration. Visit the impressive Temple of Hatshepsut and its surrounding mortuary complex, as well as the colossal statues of the Colossi of Memnon, which will offer an unforgettable glimpse into ancient history.

As we navigate through the Esna lock towards Edfu, enjoy a delicious lunch and afternoon tea on board.

Dinner will be served on the cruise, where you'll spend the night in Edfu.

Start your day with breakfast on board before you visit the Temple of Horus, which Edfu Temple displays through its Ptolemaic architectural design and its majestic building elements.

The ship will take us to Kom Ombo after we finish our lunch. The double temple we will visit here honors the gods Sobek and Haroeris through its unique architectural design and its important historical value.

After having breakfast on board the cruise ship, your Aswan day tour will commence. You'll visit the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the grand Philae Temple, which was the central location for the worship of the goddess Isis in ancient Egypt.

Following the day's excursions, you'll return to the cruise ship for lunch and dinner. You'll spend the night on the ship in Aswan.

After breakfast, you will leave the Steinberger MS Minerva Nile Cruise at Aswan for free-time activities. We will book your flight to Cairo, and upon arrival, our representative will greet you at the airport to take you to your Cairo hotel.

The day will start with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, which houses the world's largest and most valuable collection of Egyptian artifacts, including the intact treasures of Tutankhamun.

Next, you'll visit the Citadel of Saladin, featuring the impressive Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, which offers stunning panoramic views of the historic mosques, minarets, and domes of Islamic Cairo.

You'll then explore the Coptic area of Cairo, visiting the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon, the Hanging Church suspended over the old towers, and the Church of St. Sergius, also known as the Cavern Church or the Holy Family Church.

During the Coptic Cairo tour, you'll also visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue, believed to be the site where the Pharaoh's daughter found Moses in a basket in the Nile. This ancient synagogue is one of the oldest in the city and reflects the city's fascinating history.

The second largest city in Egypt, Alexandria, presents its visitors with both its ancient history and its beautiful Roman architectural works. Begin your day at Pompey's Pillar, which stands as a pink granite monument that demonstrates its architectural beauty, while you experience the vibrant atmosphere that exists throughout the city.

The Qaitbay Citadel stands as a historic 15th-century fortress that functioned as a Mediterranean coastal defense structure. The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa present an interesting burial site that contains three levels of Roman-era burial chambers that show ancient burial customs.

The famous Bibliotheca of Alexandria serves as an ancient library and academic research center that you can explore. The site includes various important sites that feature the Alexander the Great statue and the Alexandria statue that pays tribute to the unknown soldier.

Take a walk along Cornish Avenue and use Stanly Bridge to see beautiful views of contemporary Alexandria. You will return to Cairo after you finish your exploration activities for the day.
