Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, our tour leader will greet you and escort you to the hotel in Cairo for swift check-in procedures, allowing you to rest after your international flight if needed. They will also go over the details of your 5-day Cairo and Alexandria Honeymoon Itinerary to ensure everything is proceeding as planned.

You will have the option to book an additional tour to experience the sound and light show at the Giza Pyramids, where a laser and audio presentation provides a captivating overview of Egypt's history.

Prepare for an exciting day ahead as you embark on a journey to explore the marvels of ancient Egypt, starting with the majestic Giza Pyramids.

Begin your day with a buffet breakfast at the hotel before meeting your certified Egyptologist guide. Today's Cairo trips will take you to the Saqqara Necropolis and Giza Plateau, where you'll delve into Egypt's rich history. These sites include the first capital of Egypt, dating back approximately 5000 years.

Your tour of the Giza Pyramids will introduce you to the monumental structures built by the pharaohs of the 4th dynasty, including Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus. Learn about the alignment of these pyramids with celestial bodies and their purpose as burial tombs for divine kings. The largest pyramid, belonging to King Cheops, will be meticulously explained by your guide.

Optionally, enjoy a camel ride at a high point in Giza Pyramids, with your Bedouin guide capturing stunning photos for you.

Next, explore the Great Sphinx, a towering figure of a lion with a human head standing 73 meters tall. Visit the Valley Temple, part of the funerary complex of King Chephren.

Travel to Saqqara Necropolis, a 45-minute drive from Cairo, to see the Step Pyramid, Egypt's oldest stone pyramid, built by the renowned architect Imhotep for King Djoser of the 3rd dynasty. This pyramid marks a significant transition in royal burial practices.

You'll also have the opportunity to enter the Pyramid of Teti from the 6th dynasty and explore the tomb of Kagemni, known for its rich offerings and well-preserved hunting scenes on the walls.

Enjoy a delightful lunch at a quality restaurant before visiting Memphis, now Mit Rahina, an open-air museum showcasing remarkable artifacts such as the alabaster sphinx and the colossal statue of Ramses II, a legendary pharaoh of the New Kingdom.

Return to your hotel for overnight stay.

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you'll meet your licensed tour guide to begin your day trip from Cairo to Alexandria. The journey along the Alexandria Desert Road will take approximately 3 hours, including a coffee break. Upon arrival, you'll be captivated by Alexandria, founded in 332 B.C. by Alexander the Great, and serving as Egypt's capital for nearly 1000 years.

Your first stop will be Pompey's Pillar, situated within the remains of the Serapeum of Alexandria. Next, visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, an ancient burial site consisting of three underground levels adorned with a blend of Pharaonic and Greco-Roman art and architecture.

Continue to the Citadel of Qaitbay, constructed using stones from the ancient Lighthouse of Pharos. En route, you'll pass by the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina before enjoying a delightful seafood lunch at a restaurant overlooking the sea.

Afterward, return to Cairo for an overnight stay.

After finishing breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your guide to commence your Cairo day tours starting with a visit to the Egyptian Museum. Explore the museum's extensive collection of ancient artifacts, which has been open to the public since 1902.

Continue your exploration of Cairo by visiting the Citadel of Saladin, a medieval fortress constructed by the Muslim Sultan Saladin Al Ayyubi. Marvel at the imposing towers before entering the Mohamed Ali Mosque, also known as the Alabaster Mosque. The citadel served as the seat of power for approximately 700 years, with the mosque completed in 1805 and continuing the ruling dynasty until the Egyptian revolution in 1952.

Following a delicious lunch, you will be transferred to Khan El Khalili bazaar, Cairo's oldest market, for an enchanting shopping experience.

Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.
