After breakfast, you'll meet your dedicated tour guide to embark on your Egypt Easter adventure.
Your first stop will be the Giza Plateau, home to the iconic Great Pyramid of Cheops, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Constructed with over 2.6 million limestone blocks, each weighing around 50 tons, this pyramid was built under the reign of King Cheops, the most renowned of ancient Egyptian pharaohs. Next, visit the Pyramid of King Chephren, the middle pyramid, which, despite being smaller, appears larger due to its elevated position. You'll also see the Pyramid of Mycerinus, the smallest of the three.
Explore the Great Sphinx of Giza, a colossal limestone statue with the body of a lion and a human head, built by King Chephren to guard the pyramids and deter tomb raiders.
Proceed to the Valley Temple, a mortuary temple dedicated to King Chephren.
Enjoy a delightful lunch at a local restaurant before continuing your tour in downtown Cairo.
Visit the Egyptian Museum, home to over 120,000 artifacts, including the spectacular treasures of Tutankhamun.
Next, explore Old Cairo’s Coptic area, starting with the Hanging Church, a renowned site built atop a Roman fortress. Visit the Church of St. Sergius, believed to have sheltered the Holy Family during their flight from King Herod, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, traditionally associated with the discovery of Baby Moses.
Continue to Islamic Cairo to experience the bustling Khan El Khalili Bazaar, where you can shop for authentic Egyptian souvenirs and enjoy tea at the historic El Fishawy Cafe.
Return to your hotel for the evening.
