When you arrive in Egypt, a tour leader from Cairo Top Tours will greet you at Cairo International Airport with a sign displaying your name. You’ll then be transferred to your hotel in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle. Upon arrival at the hotel, you’ll enjoy a welcome drink while our staff assists you with a smooth check-in process. They will also review your Egypt Easter Tours itinerary with you to confirm the pick-up times for each day's activities.

You’ll spend the night in Cairo.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast at your Cairo hotel, you'll meet your guide to embark on your day's adventures.

Your first stop will be the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the sole survivor of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, dating back to 2500 B.C. You'll also visit the Pyramid of Chephren, built by Cheops's son, King Chephren, and the Pyramid of Mycerinus. Your tour will include a visit to the Valley Temple.

The tour of the Giza Pyramids area offers a comprehensive look at all three pyramids, perfect for taking memorable photographs.

Following lunch at a local eatery, you'll travel to Saqqara to explore the Stepped Pyramid Complex. This remarkable structure, built by King Djoser’s architect Imhotep between 2717 and 2737 B.C., is considered the first major stone edifice in history. You'll also visit the Pyramid of Teti and the tombs of the nobles, showcasing scenes of ancient Egyptian daily life.

Next, you'll head to Memphis, founded around 3,200 years ago by King Narmer and once the capital of ancient Egypt. Here, you'll explore an open-air museum featuring notable artifacts, including statues of King Ramses II and the alabaster Sphinx of Memphis.

Return to your hotel for the evening and spend the night in Cairo.

The Egyptian Museum: This renowned museum houses over 120,000 artifacts, including the impressive treasures of the golden King Tutankhamun and monumental statues from ancient Egypt.

The Citadel of Saladin and Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque: Visit the historic Citadel built by Sultan Saladin, a key figure in Islamic history, and the striking Alabaster Mosque constructed by King Mohamed Ali during the Ottoman era.

Coptic Cairo: Discover the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon, explore the Hanging Church perched above its old walls, and visit the Church of St. Sergius, where the Holy Family is believed to have sought refuge. Continue to the Ben Ezra Synagogue, traditionally thought to be the location where Moses was found.

Islamic Cairo: Wander through the medieval streets and see the historic city walls and gates, ending your exploration with a tea break at El Fishawy, the oldest café in the vibrant Khan El Khalili bazaar.

Return to your hotel for the evening and enjoy an overnight stay in Cairo.

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you'll meet your guide for a Cairo day trip to Alexandria, Egypt's Mediterranean gem and the nation's second-largest city, founded by Alexander the Great in 332 B.C.

Your Egyptologist guide will drive you to Alexandria in a comfortable vehicle, taking about 2 hours with a stop for refreshments and a break.

Your first stop will be Pompey’s Pillar, the sole surviving column from the Roman-era Serapeum temple. Next, visit The Citadel of Qaitbay, a fortress erected by the Mamluks to protect the Mediterranean coast, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Then, explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, Egypt’s largest Roman necropolis, consisting of underground tombs and richly decorated burial chambers.

Discover the Bibliotheca of Alexandria, a modern marvel inspired by the ancient library that was a major center of knowledge and research. The new library stands as a beacon of learning, overlooking the Mediterranean.

You'll also visit the Church of St. Mark, one of Africa's oldest churches, and stroll through Alexandria’s historic downtown, with its charming local markets where you can sample traditional Egyptian sweets and treats. Admire the city’s baroque and European-style architecture, and explore the vibrant Mansheya market area, including the traditional ladies' markets and gold market.

The tour includes a visit to the Abbo Elabbas Mosque, the city’s largest and most beautiful mosque, and a glimpse of the nearby old funfair with its vintage rides. Enjoy the scenic Corniche and old harbor, capturing stunning photos of traditional fishing boats and local fishermen.
