Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport to take you to your hotel where you will stay until your check-in process is completed.

They will review your 9 Days Cairo and Siwa Oasis Easter Trip itinerary with you to confirm all pick-up times and to discuss additional optional excursions that you want to include in your Cairo tours and Egypt desert safari adventure.

Welcome Drink.

After breakfast at the hotel, your tour guide will meet you in the lobby to begin your day tour of Cairo. The first stop is the Giza Pyramids, which are Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus

An optional camel ride is available on the Giza Pyramids plateau.

Next, behold the Great Sphinx of Giza, a statue with the head of a man and body of a lion, traditionally believed to have been fashioned for King Chephren. Enter the Valley Temple, where the king's mummification process was conducted as part of his burial rites.

then to Saqqara to admire the Step Pyramid, the first pyramid entirely built of stone by King Djoser of the 3rd dynasty.

Continue your Cairo tour with a visit to the ncient city of Memphis contains an open-air museum which displays the exquisite alabaster sphinx and the gigantic King Ramses II statue, which was built during Egypt's New Kingdom period.

Enjoy a delightful lunch at a prestigious restaurant overlooking the pyramids and Sphinx before returning to your hotel.

After breakfast, our tour guide will accompany you to the Egyptian Museum for a complete 2 hours of time to browse Egypt's largest collection of antiquities. After that, we will drive you to Coptic Cairo, where we will explore a Christian heritage that includes the Hanging Church of the Holy Virgin Mary, built upon the remains of ancient Roman fortress towers of Babylon, and the Church of St. Sergius, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Then it will be time for lunch at a very fine restaurant before you travel to the Islamic Cairo area, Khan El Khalili, for a visit to the area after your walk among Cairo's street life. After completing your Cairo City Tour, you'll be transferred back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you'll meet your knowledgeable English-speaking Egyptologist for your day trip to Alexandria from Cairo, part of our top Egypt Easter Tours. Travel in a comfortable air-conditioned car for approximately 2.5 hours, with a break en route.

When you arrive in Alexandria, which was Alexander the Great's city in 332 BCE, the sightseeing will begin at Pompey's Pillar. You will then visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, followed by a drive up the seashore to get to the Citadel of Qaitbay, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, a wonder of the olden world.

Explore the modern Bibliotheca of Alexandria, a revival of the renowned ancient library originally built by Ptolemy I in the 3rd century B.C., renowned as a center of science and knowledge.

Enjoy a delightful seafood lunch at a quality restaurant overlooking the harbor, followed by check-in at your hotel in Alexandria for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, your tour guide will accompany you on a scenic journey lasting approximately 7 hours to the picturesque Siwa Oasis. En route, we'll stop at the Alamein area to explore El Alamein, beginning with a visit to the Military Museum and the Commonwealth Alamein Cemetery of World War II, where you can view army models and learn about the historic WWII battle of Alamein.

Our next stop will be the beautiful city of Marsa Matrouh which offers us a pleasant dining experience at a local restaurant before we proceed to Siwa Oasis. We will arrive at the eco-lodge to check our accommodation before we visit one of Egypt's most beautiful natural hot springs for our first visit of the day. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After enjoying a traditional Egyptian breakfast at the Eco-lodge, our Siwa Oasis tour begins. Explore the ancient ruins of the Shali Fortress, once a stronghold for the Siwan people during times of foreign threats. Next, visit the Temple of The Oracle in Aghurmi Village, dating back to the 26th dynasty, and the Temple of Um Ubeyda dedicated to Amun Ra. Gain insight into Siwa's rich heritage at the Siwa House Museum, followed by lunch at one of the Oasis's picturesque restaurants.

Spend a leisurely afternoon at Cleopatra Spring, a renowned hot water spring in Siwa Oasis, reputedly frequented by Queen Cleopatra herself. Take a refreshing swim in its sparkling waters before heading to Fitnas Island to witness a mesmerising sunset.

Our expedition proceeds to its next destination at Siwa Oasis Desert Safari with our expert tour guide who possesses knowledge of Egyptian history. Your 4x4 vehicle will take you to the Great Sand Sea after you visit the Mountain of the Dead to examine the burial sites which belong to the oasis rulers. Our next stop will take us through the picturesque sand dunes until we reach Cambrian fossil sites which display ancient coral remnants.

A stunning desert lake serves as one of the main attractions because it provides visitors with an opportunity to view flamingos who swim among the lake's cool waters while the desert remains peaceful.

We will proceed to Dakrour Mountain for sandboarding where we will experience the thrill of sliding down sand dunes which resemble snowboarding. After this exciting experience we will relax in Bir Wahid hot spring which is famous for its ability to refresh people and ease muscle tension. The day ends with a breathtaking sunset that takes place in the dunes while you enjoy traditional Bedouin tea.

You will return to the eco-lodge after your visit to Siwa for your overnight stay.

Early in the morning, enjoy a packed breakfast before departing Siwa Oasis for Cairo via Marsa Matrouh. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay. 
If we return to Cairo earlier than expected, you have the option to enjoy an evening activity such as a delightful Nile cruise dinner, complete with belly dancing and Tanoura dance entertainment aboard a sailing boat on the Nile River.
