After enjoying a fresh, organic breakfast at the eco-lodge, your adventure in the Great Sand Sea begins. The first stop is Maraki village, where you'll explore a unique archaeological site at the Great Siwa Mountain, home to the oldest known human footprint. Continue your safari through the rolling dunes until you reach an area filled with fossilized coral reefs, dating back to the Cambrian era.
Next, you’ll visit a stunning lake nestled in the heart of the desert, where you might spot flamingos. Take a refreshing swim in the cool waters of the lake, surrounded by the peaceful expanse of the desert.
For a dose of excitement, try your hand at sandboarding down the towering dunes. Although not as fast as snowboarding, with the right technique, you can speed down the dunes and enjoy an exhilarating ride. Afterwards, relax and soothe your muscles in the warm waters of the hot spring known as Bir Wahid, with temperatures reaching a soothing 40 degrees.
As the day winds down, savour another stunning sunset over the Great Sand Sea while sipping on traditional Bedouin tea, surrounded by tranquil dunes. Overnight stay in Siwa. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.
