Your Cairo Top Tours guide will meet you at your Cairo hotel at 6:00 am to kick off your exciting Egypt Desert Safari to Siwa. Your journey begins with a tour of El Alamein, where you'll visit the World War II Cemeteries. Here, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission honours the brave men and women who served and sacrificed their lives during the war. You will explore the battle site and the World War Museum.

Next, you’ll head to the stunning bay of Marsa Matrouh on the North Coast for a delectable seafood lunch. Afterwards, continue your journey to Siwa, which is about a 6-hour drive from El Alamein. Before settling in for the night, you can enjoy a refreshing dip in a hot spring. You’ll then be transferred to a charming Eco-lodge for your overnight stay.

After enjoying breakfast, your Siwa Oasis Desert Safari adventure continues with a visit to the partially melted ruins of the ancient town of Shali. Next, you'll head to the Temple of Alexander the Great, also known as the Temple of the Oracle, located in the historic village of Aghurmi, which dates back to Egypt's 26th dynasty.

The tour then takes you to the Temple of Amun Ra at Um Ubeyda, built to honour the triad of Amun. You'll also get a glimpse of Siwan culture at the Siwa House Museum, where you can learn about the traditions of the local Bedouin tribes. Lunch will be served at Abdo Restaurant in the Oasis's central square, offering a scenic view of the Shali Fortress.

In the afternoon, unwind with a swim at Cleopatra's Spring, known for its clear, refreshing waters. Later, you'll be transferred to Fitnas Island, where you'll witness a breathtaking sunset.

Overnight stay in Siwa. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.

After enjoying a fresh, organic breakfast at the eco-lodge, your adventure in the Great Sand Sea begins. The first stop is Maraki village, where you'll explore a unique archaeological site at the Great Siwa Mountain, home to the oldest known human footprint. Continue your safari through the rolling dunes until you reach an area filled with fossilized coral reefs, dating back to the Cambrian era.

Next, you’ll visit a stunning lake nestled in the heart of the desert, where you might spot flamingos. Take a refreshing swim in the cool waters of the lake, surrounded by the peaceful expanse of the desert.

For a dose of excitement, try your hand at sandboarding down the towering dunes. Although not as fast as snowboarding, with the right technique, you can speed down the dunes and enjoy an exhilarating ride. Afterwards, relax and soothe your muscles in the warm waters of the hot spring known as Bir Wahid, with temperatures reaching a soothing 40 degrees.

As the day winds down, savour another stunning sunset over the Great Sand Sea while sipping on traditional Bedouin tea, surrounded by tranquil dunes. Overnight stay in Siwa. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.

After breakfast at the eco-lodge, your Siwa Oasis adventure continues with a visit to the rock-cut tombs at the Mountain of the Dead (Jabal El Mawta). Explore the fascinating tombs of Siwa’s ancient rulers from the 26th dynasty, including the tombs of SI Amon and the Crocodile Tomb.

Next, head to the Bedouin village of Abu Ali, where you’ll experience the traditional Bedouin lifestyle. Visit the one-classroom school and other unique aspects of their daily life. You’ll also explore the site believed to be the Tomb of Alexander the Great.

Return to Siwa to visit Dakrour Mountain, a site of cultural significance where the Siwi people celebrate the annual El Syaha Tourism Festival during the first full moon of October. Afterwards, you'll head back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Siwa. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.
