White and Black Desert Tour

After breakfast, we’ll visit the Salt Lake and sand dunes, enjoying the lush palm trees and fruit fields. Next, we’ll travel south to the White Desert, located 170 km from Bahariya. Named for its predominantly white landscape, the White Desert is renowned for its striking chalky rock formations, shaped by occasional sandstorms.

We'll pass through the Black Desert, known for its volcanic hills formed by ancient eruptions, and the Valley of El Haize, the southernmost village of Bahariya, famous for its refreshing breeze.

We’ll make a stop to admire the quartz crystals at Crystal Mountain, a captivating spot in Farafra Oasis with its unique crystal rocks.

Our journey continues to the enchanting Valley of Agabat, known for its magical beauty. We’ll then set up camp in the White Desert and take in the stunning white limestone formations, including shapes resembling rabbits and mushrooms. Enjoy a traditional Bedouin-style dinner in the desert.

Enjoy a new and exciting day in the desert. After breakfast at your camp, you'll head to Farafra Oasis.

Take a refreshing dip in the hot waters of Bir Setah hot spring and visit the unique mud brick museum of local artist Badr, which showcases modern art artifacts.

Next, explore the ancient town of Al Qasr, located north of the Dakhla Oasis, one of Egypt’s oldest archaeological cities and a historic transport hub.

Drive to Dakhla, about a 3-hour journey, to visit the Roman Temple of Deir El Hagar, one of Egypt’s smallest temples, located around 15 km from Al Qasr.

Continue your visit with a tour of the stunning rock-cut tombs at Al-Mazouka Tombs in Dakhla Oasis. Enjoy lunch, then explore the old Islamic village of Al Qasr, which was built from Roman ruins. The town features narrow, covered streets dating back to the 12th century, with old houses, an oil press, wheat grinder, court, prison, school, and an Ayyubid mosque.

In the afternoon, relax by the pool before visiting the lush Dakhla Oasis to enjoy its clear blue skies and golden sand dunes. Watch the sunset on the edge of the Great Sand Sea while sipping tasty Bedouin tea.
