After a delightful breakfast, you will be escorted to the Giza Plateau, home to the iconic landmarks of ancient Egypt. You will have the opportunity to marvel at the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, the Pyramid of Chephren, and the Pyramid of Mycerinus, all of which were constructed during the fourth dynasty between 2589 and 2504 B.C. Your licensed Egyptologist will provide you with fascinating information about the engineering marvels and the purpose behind these colossal structures.

You will then be brought to a vantage point on the high plateau, where you can take in the breathtaking panoramic view of the entire necropolis. Additionally, you may have the chance to enjoy an optional camel ride, allowing you to experience the Giza Pyramids from a unique perspective.

Check out from your Cairo hotel at 6:00 AM after breakfast, where you'll meet your expert guide to begin your Egypt Desert Safari journey. You’ll travel in comfort by deluxe vehicle to the Bahariya Oasis, a drive of about four hours from Cairo. Upon arrival, your first stop will be the Museum of Golden Mummies, where you'll witness mummies adorned in gold. Next, you'll explore the Tombs of the Nobles, dating back to the 26th Dynasty, and visit the Temple of Alexander the Great. This temple features depictions of Alexander offering gifts to the god Amun-Re, a revered deity worshipped in Bahariya during the Greco-Roman period. The temple is believed to commemorate Alexander's journey through the Bahariya Oasis on his way to the Temple of the Oracle in Siwa Oasis.

You’ll also visit the Temple of Meftella, located near Al-Qasr village, close to a spring that shares its name. As you travel, you'll pass through the Black Desert, known for its volcanic hills and darkened rocks, and the Valley of El Haize, which offers a refreshing breeze in Bahariya's southernmost village. Stop at Crystal Mountain to admire its striking quartz crystals. This area, situated in Farafra Oasis, features impressive crystal formations and provides breathtaking views.

Proceed to the old town of Al Qasr in Dakhla Oasis, an ancient archaeological site that served as a key transit point in antiquity. After a 3-hour drive from Farafra to Dakhla, visit the Roman Temple of Deir El Hagar. This small sandstone temple, dating back to Emperor Nero's reign, features inscriptions and carvings dedicated to gods like Amun, Mut, and Khonsu.

Explore the Roman burial site of Muzzawaqa, known for its beautifully carved rock-cut tombs. Following lunch, delve into the old Islamic village of Al Qasr, where ancient Roman ruins have been transformed into a charming town with narrow, covered streets, traditional houses, an old oil press, a wheat grinder, and a 12th-century mosque.

First, visit Qasr El Labkha, an ancient Roman fortress from the 5th century AD. Then head to the Kharga Museum, where you'll find artifacts from the Pharaonic, Ptolemaic, Roman, and Christian periods. Proceed to the Roman Temple of Hibis & Nadora, built during the reign of Emperor Antoninus Pius or Hadrian, located about 1 km north of Kharga. This temple is notable for its representation of various historical periods including Pharaonic, Persian, Ptolemaic, and Roman.

Next, explore Bagawat, an ancient cemetery known for its chapels adorned with biblical frescoes from the Old Testament, which have remarkably preserved their vibrant colours.

After a delicious lunch, travel to Baris Oasis, which dates back to 5000 BC and was dedicated to the Greek god Serapis. Visit the Temple of Dush, a Roman settlement that once served as a vital city along the trade route. Conclude your day with an overnight camping experience amidst the golden dunes of Kharga Oasis.

You’ll leave the desert behind and travel to Luxor, a 6-hour journey south of Cairo, approximately 670 km. Upon arrival, you'll board the luxurious 5-star Steigenberger MS Minerva Nile cruise. Check in, enjoy a delightful lunch, and then embark on your exploration of Luxor's East Bank.

Your first stop is the Karnak Temple Complex, a vast collection of temples, grand pillars, and ancient structures located just 3 km from Luxor. Known for its massive scale, Karnak is the largest religious structure ever constructed and served as the primary centre of worship for the deities Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Continue your visit to the Temple of Luxor, renowned for its sandstone construction from Gebel el-Silsila, showcasing some of Egypt's most impressive architectural achievements.
