After enjoying a buffet breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your personal tour guide to begin your exploration of Cairo starting with the impressive Giza Pyramids. You'll visit the renowned Giza Necropolis, dating back to the 4th dynasty of ancient Egypt's kings during the Old Kingdom period. Here, you'll marvel at the three pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus, and have the option to take an exciting camel ride at the panoramic view area.
Next, you'll visit the Valley Temple of King Chephren and then proceed to the Great Sphinx, connected by a passageway, concluding your tour of the Giza Pyramids.
From there, we'll drive to Cairo's downtown area where you'll visit the famous Tahrir Square and explore the Egyptian Museum. This museum houses the largest collection of Egyptian antiquities across two floors, showcasing statues, stelae, sarcophagi, and other fascinating artifacts, including treasures from the tomb of King Tutankhamen.
Following this, we'll journey to Coptic Cairo, an area rich in heritage near the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon. You'll visit the Hanging Church, a remarkable architectural feat, as well as the Church of Saint Sergius and the Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra.
Afterwards, you'll enjoy a delicious lunch at one of Cairo's finest Egyptian cuisine restaurants before returning to the hotel. If time permits, we may also explore the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, known for its Islamic monuments, offering an enriching walking tour experience in Cairo.
