Egyptian Museum: The museum includes the husband's and wife's funerary treasures of Yuya and Thuya, the magnificent collection of treasure belonging to Psusennes I, who ruled from Tanis, and the Narmer Stele, which is dedicated to the first king to unify both Upper and Lower Egypt. Among its invaluable displays are magnificent busts of the ancient pharaohs, Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, who are credited with constructing the Giza Plateau Pyramids. The museum is also well enriched by extraordinary ethnographic collections of papyrus and coffins, along with jewelry.
Saladin Citadel: The citadel contains three museums, one of which is the Jewel Palace Museum, which contains a chandelier that weighs one thousand kilograms, presented to Muhammad Ali Pasha by King Louis Philippe I of France. Also on display is Muhammad Ali's throne, offered to him by the Italian King. Commenced in 1983, the Transport Museum displays various royal vehicles, including a remarkable collection of vintage cars used during the reign of Khedive Ismail.
Khan El Khalili Bazaar: This area, a market in its own right, is a famous place bearing the name of Jerkes al-Khalili, one of the Mamluke princes who came from Hebron in the holy land.
