Christmas Offers in Luxor
Our Christmas tours begin in the bustling city of Cairo and conclude in the historic city of Luxor. You’ll visit the famous Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum, and explore the rich heritage of Coptic and Islamic Cairo. Then, we’ll fly you to Luxor to explore the magnificent temples and the ancient rock-cut tombs of the Valley of the Kings. This is one of our premier Egypt Christmas and New Year holidays.
Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be greeted and assisted by a Cairo Top Tours representative. This representative will help with passport control and luggage retrieval. You will then be transferred to your hotel for check-in and overnight stay in Cairo.
Breakfast at your hotel, you will be escorted by Egypt Key Tours tour guide to visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops (the only one of seven ancient wonders still remaining on earth), Chephren, Mekerinus, and the famous Sphinx, the Valley Temple facing the great statue.
Proceed to visit The Egyptian Museum, which is the world’s greatest repository of ancient Egyptian treasures including those belonging to the child King Tutankhamun along with many other fascinating artifacts, as well as an additional visit to the mummies room at the museum.
After that, go to Khan El Khalili Bazaar, which is one of Cairo’s main attractions. The district of Khan El Khalili was originally a mausoleum called “El Zaafran” for the burial of Fatimid Caliphs. After that, it became a district for the Turkish community during the Ottoman period and now it has become a bazaar where you will find many souvenir shops, coffeehouses “Café” serving Arabic coffee and offering Hookah “Shisha”, and restaurants throughout the area.
Then you will transfer to the hotel, and overnight in Cairo hotel.
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel at Cairo Airport to fly to Luxor.
Upon arrival at Luxor Airport, you will meet our tour guide to visit the west bank of Luxor and start by visiting the Valley of the Kings. Then, you will move to Hatshepsut Temple (meaning foremost of noble ladies), her temple is considered one of the most important temples of ancient times.
Then you will stop to see the Colossi of Memnon, which is made out of quartzite and stood in the Theban necropolis, across the Nile River as a guardian of the entrance to Amenhotep’s Memorial Temple of Madinat Habu in Luxor.
Then cross the Nile River to the east bank of Luxor, where you will visit Luxor Temple and Karnak Temples; the complex was dedicated to the god Amon-Ra and was the center of his worship, and his wife Mut and his son Khonso.
What is special about the Karnak complex is that it includes several of the finest examples of ancient Egyptian design and architecture and among them is the hypostyle hall, one of the world’s great architectural achievements of all times.
In the end, our tour guide will drop you at Luxor Airport to fly back to Cairo.
