Today, you will enjoy a delightful buffet breakfast at your hotel before meeting your Egyptologist guide. You'll then be transferred to embark on your tour to the Giza Pyramids, the burial grounds of the pharaohs from the 4th dynasty. Upon arrival, your guide will provide a comprehensive overview of Egyptian history as you marvel at the grand Pyramid of Cheops, constructed in 2500 B.C.
Adjacent to the Great Pyramid, you'll also see the smaller queen's pyramids. Afterwards, you'll travel by private car to the Giza Plateau for a better view of the three pyramids of Kings Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus. Optionally, you can take a camel ride in the Sahara desert for stunning photos, with an additional charge, as it is considered a sacred place in ancient Egyptian religion.
Descending once more, you'll visit the Valley Temple or mummification temple, followed by a viewing of the Great Sphinx, crafted in the likeness of King Chephren as a lion with a human head.
Next, you'll journey approximately 40 minutes to the open-air museum at Memphis, Egypt's oldest capital known as 'manf'. Here, you'll see artifacts including the alabaster sphinx and the colossal statue of Ramses II among other statues and relics.
Lunch will be provided at a high-quality restaurant before proceeding to the Saqqara Necropolis. Here, you'll witness history's first stone structure, the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, designed by the renowned architect Imhotep. You'll also explore the Pyramid of Teti and visit one of the tombs belonging to a nobleman from the 6th dynasty, adorned with scenes of hunting and offerings featuring various animals and birds.
