After breakfast, you'll meet your Egyptologist guide to begin your Cairo city tour, starting with a visit to the Egyptian Museum. Located in the renowned Tahrir Square, you’ll have around 2 hours to explore the museum, home to over 120,000 artifacts from various periods. Marvel at the golden treasures of the New Kingdom, including the renowned collection from the tomb of King Tutankhamun discovered in 1922 in the Valley of the Kings.
Next, you’ll head to Old Cairo for a Coptic Cairo tour. Begin by exploring the remnants of the Roman fortress of Babylon, where the Hanging Church of the Holy Virgin Mary is perched on two of the fortress’s towers. You’ll also visit the Cavern Church of St. Serius and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, which was originally a Christian church before being sold to a wealthy Jewish man named Ben Ezra.
In the evening, return to the hotel to prepare for a delightful dinner cruise on the Nile. Your tour leader will transfer you to the cruise boat on the Nile Corniche, where you'll enjoy a 2-hour cruise with a buffet dinner of Egyptian cuisine, accompanied by entertainment including belly dancing and a Tanoura dance show.
After the cruise, you'll be transferred back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
