Overnight stay at your Cairo hotel.

Welcome Drink.

After enjoying a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel, you’ll meet your personal tour guide to start your Cairo day trips. Your first visit will be to the Giza Pyramids, including the Great Pyramid of Cheops (around 4500 years old), the Pyramid of Chephren (built 20 years later), and the Pyramid of Mycerinus. The ancient Egyptians built these pyramids to ensure a spiritual passage for their pharaohs into the afterlife, and the Sphinx was constructed to protect these deceased kings. The tour will end with a visit to the magnificent Sphinx and the Valley Temple, constructed from limestone, granite, and alabaster.

Next, you’ll be transferred to the Step Pyramid of King Djoser in Saqqara. This is the oldest stone structure in the world, built from stacked stone mastabas by the renowned architect and vizier Imhotep during the 3rd Dynasty. Saqqara, located approximately 27 km southwest of Cairo, is one of Egypt's richest archaeological sites, showcasing the Mastaba tombs of nobles and the evolution of burial practices in ancient Egypt.

Following a delightful lunch at an elegant restaurant, you’ll visit Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt’s Old Kingdom. Here, you’ll see the impressive statue of Ramses II and the grand Alabaster Sphinx, the second-largest sphinx after the Great Sphinx of Giza. Memphis was founded by King Menes, who unified Upper and Lower Egypt around 5100 years ago, marking the start of the 1st Dynasty.

After completing your Saqqara and Memphis tour, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.

The Coptic Cairo Tour will conclude with a visit to the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the oldest in the area.

Next, we’ll pass through Cairo’s Downtown area to visit the Egyptian Museum, home to the world’s largest collection of Egyptian antiquities, including the famous treasures of the young King Tutankhamun.

After a tasty lunch, we’ll continue to the Citadel of Saladin and explore the Mosque of Mohamed Ali, which offers a panoramic view of Islamic Cairo. We’ll also see modern landmarks like the Cairo Tower.

Egypt Tours FAQ

Egypt experiences a high level of tourist activity during Christmas, particularly in December and January. These months coincide with the peak of the holiday and New Year's travel seasons, making them the busiest times to visit the country.

Pack comfortable clothing for daytime exploration, as well as something a bit more formal for festive events. Don't forget essentials like sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable walking shoes. It's also wise to check the specific weather forecast closer to your travel dates.

The Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, the National Museum of Egypt, and the Valley of Kings All of these sites are in Cairo, but if you want more, I recommend taking a flight to Luxor and Aswan to discover Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Hatshepsut's Temple (Deir el-Bahari), and more.
