Egypt's New Administrative Capital

Egypt's New Administrative Capital

The New Administrative Capital is considered the project of the era because it reflects a perfect image of the future and progress on the economic, cultural, social and civilisational level, as the capital is considered the new capital of Egypt at the present time. The importance of the New Capital is that it is a comprehensive transformation of the future of buildings, services and national and mega projects in Egypt.

One of the most significant aspects of the capital is its location, which is roughly 60 kilometers from Ain Sokhna and Suez as well as from some key areas in the center of Cairo. The New Administrative Capital is situated on the outskirts of Badr City, between the Cairo/Suez and Cairo/Ain Sokhna roads, coming immediately after New Cairo, Mostakbal City, and Madinaty.

The Suez City Road leading to Jindali Road 2 is the main road leading to the New Administrative Capital - until the completion of the main road to the capital, which is the Mohammed bin Zayed Axis.

It is anticipated that the population of the New Administrative Capital will increase from 18 million to 40 million by 2050, making it a new smart city and one of Egypt's most recent significant real estate development projects. This project represents a novel idea for the character of Egyptian residential life.

We go over facts on the New Administrative Capital and its most significant initiatives with you in the paragraphs that follow. The New Administrative Capital is around 170,000 acres in size, which is the same area as Singapore.

Phases of the New Capital

Due to the enormity of the New Capital project, the New Administrative Capital will be divided into three phases as follows:

  • The initial stage, including forty thousand acres.
  • The second phase with an area of 47 thousand acres.
  • The third phase has an area of 97,000 acres, which is the largest phase of the division of the Administrative Capital.

The importance of the Administrative Capital is shaped by being a civilisational bridge that creates a political, economic and cultural entity in Egypt and the Middle East and North Africa region, to provide a prosperous economic climate and an infrastructure that is the nucleus of a prosperous living and sustainable development.

Objectives of the Administrative Capital

The goal of establishing the New Administrative Capital is to establish an economic and administrative city for Egypt that is consistent with the variables and vocabulary of the era, and to create a new investment-attracting area linking Cairo and Suez that creates about two million job opportunities.
