    Al-Hakim Amr Allah Mosque, located on Al-Moez Street in Old Cairo, is a prominent Fatimid landmark and the fourth oldest surviving mosque in Egypt. Built in 380 AH during Al-Aziz Billah's reign, it was completed by his son in 403 AH (1012-1013 AD), making it the second largest mosque in Cairo after Ahmed Ibn Tulun Mosque. The mosque's name was attributed to him. The mosque, measuring 12005 meters in length and 113 meters in width, has two minarets at its sea front, surrounded by pyramid-shaped bases. The upper cubes are slightly backwards, and an octagonal minaret protrudes from each of the upper cubes.

The Catract Aswan Hotel is an excellent hotel in Aswan, Egypt, and also one of the five-star Aswan hotels, a living historical monument that breathes repugnant luxury intertwined with the smell of stories and the beauty of history, where its old age can be felt in the very Corridors and walls of the Catract Aswan Hotel placed under deep layers of the Egyptian Nubian desert.

The Victorian-style architecture is designed using classical principles. It is carefully embellished with vintage furnishings and high-end wooden decorations to create and provide the clientele with a royal experience that is second to none. The hotel provides spa services to its customers ranging from sauna to hammam or hot tub, Jacuzzi and steam baths. Also, there is a massage and physiotherapy center, a gym, swimming pools both indoors and outdoors, efficient room services which include laundry and even shoe polishing.

The Cataract Hotel has two main divisions containing a total of 138 rooms and suites. The suites are set in a Victorian style and are very spacious. The rooms and suites are furnished with the best types of furniture available in the world which are exquisite and lavish in nature and amongst the largest and well-known suites in the hotel are ‘Agatha Christie Suite’, ‘Churchill Suite’. However the rest of the hotel’s structure is oriented vertically into 9 floors and includes 62 rooms and suites.

The other part of the hotel is divided into 9 floors and contains 62 rooms and suites, and the largest suite in that part is the Aga Khan Suite, and all rooms overlook the Nile directly and the Aga Khan Mausoleum west of Aswan, and the Cataract Hotel contains many restaurants.

The restoration and renovation work of the hotel, the biggest in the history of the prestigious hotel and the imperative that runway designer Sybille de Margerie was brought onboard in 2008, took three years to complete as the french designers were able to save the hotel and present it in a new and more worthy look in line with its reputation.
