It was commissioned by and made for Pharaoh Ramses II, son of Ra, built in the 19th century BC and devoted to Hathor the Ra's wife. This also has several other structures, like a temple, a chapel, a palace, and even a tomb.

Then we will move to Abydos Temple, which is another famous temple in the land of Egypt. This temple lies about 100 kilometers north of Luxor city. Created during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II in the early 12th century B.C., the temple was dedicated to Osiris, the king of the underworld. The temple boasts very high walls as its inner sides are decorated with huge Osiris and Ramses II statues; thus, it ranks as the most breathtaking temple built in that period.
