An early morning pick-up will be done by your tour leader from your cruise in Safaga Port, and a transfer to Luxor in a private air-conditioned car will follow. You will also have the pleasure of having your private tour guide with you as you make your way through the Karnak Temple Complex, the largest temple complex to have ever been constructed with the work of many builders and pharaohs across different eras. The site contains three large temples, several smaller encased temples, and some outer temples and measures 247 acres in total.
After that, you will be taken to The Valley of the Kings, where the royal burial grounds of ancient Egypt’s rulers are in tombs dating from the 18th to the 20th dynasty, including that of Ramses II and King Tut's tomb. Hatshepsut Temple will also be included in your itinerary, whose temple is one of the most attractive and best-preserved specimens of three-leveled galleries with two central ramps.
Also admire the Colossi of Memnon, immense quartzite sandstone figures of King Amenhotep III, which is the only remaining part of the vast temple complex and was quarried in Luxor, which is about 700 kilometers away from Cairo.
There will also be an optional sound and light show at Karnak in the evening. Later, you will fly to Cairo and check in at a 5-star hotel for your overnight stay.
