Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel in the morning to kick off your day in Cairo with a visit to the Egyptian Museum. As one of the oldest museums in the world, it houses a vast collection of artifacts from ancient Egypt, including the renowned "Little Pharaoh" collection from Tutankhamun's treasures.
Next, you’ll visit the iconic Citadel of Salah El-Din, a major attraction and one of the most significant Islamic monuments in Cairo, built by Salah El-Din in 1176 AD. Following this, you'll explore Old Cairo, where you'll see the Church of St. Sergius, constructed over the crypt where Jesus Christ and his mother are believed to have rested. You’ll also come across the Ben Ezra Synagogue, which dates back before the 9th century and was later converted into a Jewish synagogue.
Afterwards, you’ll be transferred to a high-quality local restaurant for a delicious lunch. Finally, your tour guide will take you to Khan El-Khalili, the oldest market in the Islamic quarter, where you can shop for Egyptian souvenirs and clothing.
After your tour, you will be transferred back to Alexandria Port to conclude your 2-Day Cairo Tour.
