Our representative will meet and greet you at the exit gate of Alexandria Port to begin your day trip and ensure you have a fantastic experience.
First, visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa are one of the most fascinating ancient sites in Alexandria and are considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages. After that, we will explore Pompey’s Pillar, which is the tallest pillar in Egypt.
Then, head to the majestic Citadel of Qaitbay, constructed in 1477 by Mamluk King Qaitbay to defend against Ottoman invasions. This fortress stands on the original site of the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria.
Enjoy a delicious seafood lunch prepared with fresh ingredients, chicken, or a mixed grill. After lunch, visit the Library of Alexandria. Rebuilt after an international design competition, the library features a massive reading hall, museums, art galleries, a planetarium, and exhibitions showcasing science, history, and culture.
After finishing those wonderful historical main sights, your Egyptologist guide will get you on a walking tour through Alexandria's streets and along the Corniche.
Finally, you'll be returned to Alexandria Port, where you'll be dropped off at the cruise ship exit door, as is standard with all our Alexandria Shore Excursions.
