In the morning, we are going to meet you at your hotel in Makadi Bay and begin a full day tour to Luxor.
To start with any Luxor tour, one should visit the East Bank, and that is also where you find some of the prime attractions in Egypt: Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple. Luxor Temple is a Nile-side temple dedicated to the war goddess Sekhmet and is also called ‘the Temple of Many Years' for it has various sections that were built by King Amenhotep III, King Akhenaten, and King Ramses II. Karnak Temple is one of the massive temple complexes in Egypt that has more than 3000 rooms and buildings with several shrines dating back to the Middle Kingdom. At first, this entire structure was ordered to be constructed by King Amenhotep II for the sun deity Aten and, after some time, was altered by later rulers.
The West Bank visit, which will start with the Valley of the Kings, will take place after lunch.
The next destination on the schedule will be the Temple of Hatshepsut in Deir el-Bahari. A stunning three-story temple built by one of Egypt's rare female rulers, Queen Hatshepsut.
A temple designed after the style of her period in power’s reign by Hatshepsut stands as evidence of her great achievements and importance in the development of art and commerce in ancient Egypt.
And lastly, we will visit the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic statues that used to sit in front of the Theban Necropolis. After this last visit, you will be driven back to your accommodation at Makadi Bay, bringing to a close the incredible experience that was exploring ancient Egypt.
