Next, we will move to the Roman Theater. Also referred to as the Roman Amphitheatre, the site dates to the 2nd century A.D. Unearthed during excavations in 1960, this well-preserved Roman Theater features galleries, sections of mosaic flooring, and marble seating for up to 800 spectators.

Then you will visit Alexandria Library, It was founded at the beginning of the 3rd century BC. by the Pharaoh Ptolemy I (Soter) who was one of the most famous rulers of the Ptolemaic period, and extended by his son Ptolemy II Philadelphus, but in later times its importance was diminishing and its collections were lost, due to the changes in power and successive invasions. Then, visit Pompey’s Pillar, the only remaining pillar from the Roman temple which stands tall on a rocky plateau in the surrounding ruins of the Serapeum. 

Continue to see the outside of Quaitbay castle which was built on the same site as the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria one of the seven wonders of the world and a great photo stop. Next, visit the Royal Jewelry Museum. Your tour will conclude with a drive along the Mediterranean coast to the Montaza Gardens, which feature 115 acres of gardens surrounded by great walls on three sides and the sea. Within its walls, you will see the exterior of the Montazah Palace, built-in 1932 by King Fouad and inherited by his son King Farouk, the last of the Egyptian kings. As you drive through the gardens, photo stops will be made along the way.

And on your way back, stop over the famous Stanley Bridge – the landmark of modern Alexandria where you can have a free walk before going back to the hotel.
