You will be picked up from your hotel in Luxor and our representative will transfer you to your 5-day Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan, your tour leader will assist you to check-in and then you will have a short break and enjoy your first lunch on board the MS Royal Viking Nile Cruise.
You'll meet your English-speaking Egyptologist guide in the lobby to begin your tours of the East Bank of Luxor.Luxor is located 700 kilometers south of Cairo. The city with a population of approximately 500,000 lives mainly on tourism and agriculture. Visit the magnificent Karnak Temple, the largest temple in Egypt, built and expanded over 2000 years from a simple shrine during the New Kingdom to a huge temple covering an enormous area. Then continue your journey in Luxor where you will be transferred to the Luxor Temple, located in the city that bears its name and was discovered in 1884.

After your delicious breakfast on board your MS Royal Viking Nile cruise, you will meet your tour guide to begin your tour of the West Bank of Luxor to visit the magnificent rock-cut tombs of the New Kingdom pharaohs known as the Valley of the Kings, where they built their tombs far away from tomb robbers, and so far more than 60 rock-cut tombs have been discovered. Also continue your tours on the West Bank of Luxor to visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut or as it is known today as the Deir el-Bahri Temple, Hatshepsut Temple is 97 feet (30 meters) high and is an exceptional monument capable of impressing its visitors, and the Colossi of Memnon, the monumental statues of the great King Amenhotep III will be your last day tour in Luxor. Your delicious lunch will be served on the Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan and then you will enjoy sailing to Edfu.

You will now enjoy a hearty breakfast on board the Nile cruise, and your expert tour guide will accompany you for one of the most interesting daily Egyptian sightseeing tours, the tour to Edfu to visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu which still retains all the elements of an ancient Egyptian temple, Edfu Temple is one of the largest temples in Egypt (the largest after Karnak Temple) and one of the best preserved temples in the country, then you will return to the cruise to enjoy a charming sailing time to the south until you reach Kom Ombo, and an extraordinary lunch will be served on board.
Upon arrival in Kom Ombo, you will be escorted to the stunning Kom Ombo Temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, built between 1350 and 180 BC by order of King Ramses II, then the boat will sail towards Aswan, after completing your tour in Kom Ombo and Edfu, enjoy your delicious dinner on board the cruise, entertainment show, local music, and overnight in the beautiful city of Aswan.

You will be transferred back to the cruise and enjoy lunch, free afternoon at leisure in Aswan, and in the evening, a good quality dinner will be prepared and served on the cruise boat, you will watch an interesting Nubian show, and overnight in Aswan.
