After enjoying a delicious buffet breakfast at your hotel, your Egyptologist guide will meet you to start your tour to the Giza Pyramids, the necropolis of the old kingdom pharaohs of the 4th dynasty. You'll see the huge Pyramid of Cheops, established in 2500 B.C., and the queen's pyramids beside it. You'll also have the opportunity to take a private car to get a better view of the three pyramids of the kings Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus from the Giza Plateau. Additionally, a camel ride in the Sahara desert, the most sacred place according to ancient Egyptian religion, will be available for an extra charge.
Next, you'll enter the Valley Temple, or mummification temple, and witness the Great Sphinx, which was made for King Chephren as a figure of a man-headed lion.
Afterward, you'll move to the open-air museum in Memphis, the oldest capital of Egypt, where you'll see the alabaster sphinx and lots of statues and artifacts, along with the colossal statue of Ramses II. You'll then enjoy lunch at a good-quality restaurant before heading to the Saqqara Necropolis to witness the first stone structure in history, the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, built by the famous architect Imhotep. You'll also see the Pyramid of Teti and enter one of the tombs of the nobles in Saqqara, which belongs to the son-in-law of King Teti of the 6th dynasty. The tomb is full of hunting and offering scenes, with various kinds of animals and birds depicted.
After finishing your excursions in Cairo, you'll be transported back to your hotel.
