Start your day with a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel before your personal English-speaking tour guide accompanies you to the Giza Plateau. Here, you'll visit the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, which was built on a perfectly squared piece of ground oriented in an unusual cardinality that still impresses world astronomy scientists today. Your guide will also take you to the Pyramids of Chephren and the smallest royal pyramid in the Necropolis, built by King Mycerinus. You'll have plenty of time to take photos and learn about the history and significance of these ancient structures. Additionally, you'll see the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of King Chephren, where the mummification process was performed.
Afterward, you'll enjoy a delicious lunch at a high-quality restaurant in Cairo before heading to Islamic Cairo to explore the local market, experience real life in Egypt, and try traditional tea-mint at El Fishawy or Layaly Al-Hussein, Cairo's oldest cafes in Khan El Khalili. You'll then return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.
The next day, you'll visit the Egyptian Museum, where your guide will explain important information about all the masterpieces on display, including the items of the golden pharaoh Tutankhamen, which were discovered in the Valley of the Kings in 1922. You'll then visit Coptic Cairo and explore the old Roman fortress of Babylon, built by Emperor Trajan in the 1st century. You'll also see the Hanging Church, built mysteriously above the towers of the old fortress, and the church of St. Sergius, where the holy family stayed for three months. Finally, you'll visit Ben Ezra Synagogue, one of the oldest Jewish synagogues in Cairo.
Your meals for the day will include breakfast and lunch.
