Your friendly tour guide will be with you as you head to the Giza pyramids. You'll see the impressive Great Pyramid of Cheops, as well as the pyramids of Chephren and Mycerinus. Next, you'll visit the Great Sphinx, which has the head of a Pharaoh and the body of a lion, symbolizing the king's power and intelligence. After that, you'll explore the Valley Temple of king Chephren, where his body was mummified before being laid to rest. Your guide will explain the fascinating process of mummification in ancient Egypt.
Time for lunch! You'll take a break and enjoy a delicious meal at a good restaurant. Once you're refueled, it's off to visit the Step Pyramid of King Zoser in Sakkara, which is the oldest man-made stone building in the world (Djoser Pyramid). You'll also see the pyramid of Teti, known for its stunning interior among all the accessible pyramids in Egypt. Additionally, you'll explore Kagemni tomb, one of the tombs of the nobles at Sakkara, and get a glimpse of ancient Egyptian daily life scenes depicted on the walls.
Next stop is Memphis, just 20 minutes away from Saqqara. In Memphis, you'll visit an open-air museum with statues and artifacts from the ancient capital of the pharaohs. Notable pieces include the alabaster sphinx made from a massive block of marble and the huge statue of Ramses II.
After an amazing day of exploring, you'll be transferred back to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.
