Pyramids of Giza
Today, after breakfast at your hotel, your guide will meet you, to begin with a visit to Giza Pyramids, the symbols of Egypt that have captivated the imagination of people around the world for centuries. These incredible structures were built as tombs for the pharaohs and their consorts.
Dahshur
From Giza, your journey takes you to Dahshur, a lesser-known but equally remarkable archaeological site. Here, you will encounter the Bent Pyramid which is unique for its change in angle partway up, giving it a distinct appearance, and the Red Pyramid, the world's first true smooth-sided pyramid, offers the opportunity to venture inside and explore the internal chambers both built during the reign of Pharaoh Sneferu.
Memphis
As the day progresses, you will travel to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Memphis was a thriving city and a significant cultural and religious center in antiquity.
Visit the open-air museum with the second-biggest sphinx made out of alabaster, as well as the colossal statue of King Ramses II, who was the most powerful king during the new kingdom.
You'll enjoy a delicious lunch in a top-notch restaurant overlooking the pyramids of Giza before being transferred back to your hotel.
