Take a tour of the Great Giza Pyramids, one of the seven wonders of the world, to start your day. These pyramids have stood for countless years, enduring wars, earthquakes, and even the passage of time to continue to be one of Egypt's most well-known tourist destinations. They are also thought to be the tombs of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, three pharaohs.
The most well-known of these was built for Queen Hetepheres, mother of King Khufu and wife of King Senefru. She also owned the renowned collection of artifacts that is now on display at the Egyptian Museum. There are several small pyramids built to house the mummies of kings' wives and mothers.
