Trip of Alexandria
Alexandria has many archaeological sites, as it has always been a center of attention and a quiet city for relaxation for kings, as it differs from other parts of Egypt due to its openness by sea to the countries of Europe.
Alexander the Great founded the city that bears his name on the Mediterranean coast on 7 April 331 BC, on the ruins of an ancient Egyptian city called Ra Kadet or Raqoda. After Alexander's death in Babylon in 323 BC, his army commanders fought among themselves for control of the parts of his large empire.
Egypt went to Ptolemy I Sotir (305-285 BC), who established a state bearing his name known as the Ptolemaic state (332-30 BC), and Alexandria became the focal point of Ptolemaic rule and remained the most significant city of the eastern Mediterranean region until the rise of Constantinople in the fifth century AD.
Explore more about the city and its sites and don't miss this opportunity as the company organizes an organized tour to explore as much as possible.
