Itinerary

Your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby and transfer you to Alexandria's most famous places such as Kom el Shoqafa area. Kom el Shoqafa is located in the area where the village of Rakotis, the name by which it was known to the Romans in honor of the village's ancient Pharaonic name of Ra - this cemetery was discovered the necropolis was accidentally discovered in 1892 AD, and it was finally revealed in 1900 AD.

After that, you will move to the Pompey's Pillar. Pompey's Pillar is one of the most famous monuments in the archaeological area of Alexandria. It was erected between the current Muslim burial area known as ‘The Column Tombs’ and the archaeological plateau of Kom el Shoqafa and is about 26.85 m in length, made of pink granite stone.

After learning more about him, you will be transferred to the Library of Alexandria and its real founder, Ptolemy II Philadelphus, who ruled Egypt for thirty-nine years from 285 to 246 BC. He was the one who organized the library and brought in scholars from the Greek world so that many scholars settled in Alexandria. The Library of Alexandria became a model for the libraries of the Mediterranean world to follow, and was the starting point for establishing science, facilitating it for knowledge lovers, and documenting it for future generations.

Eat the most delicious fish meal in Alexandria, then continue your tour to Qaitbay Castle, one of the most important castles on the Mediterranean coast; it was built by the Mamluk Sultan Al-Ashraf Abu Al-Nasr Qaitbay between the years (882-884 AH / 1477-1479 AD) in the place of the old Alexandria lighthouse and on the foundations of the lighthouse that was finally destroyed in the year (702 AH / 1303 AD) under Sultan Muhammad bin Qalawun, and its purpose was to protect the Egyptian coasts from external dangers. At the end, you will be transferred to your hotel
