The experience of the pyramids is not ending. It is time to see the Great Sphinx, which is a huge statue of limestone. The statue is considered the guardian of the three pyramids and the treasures of the pyramids. You should capture many photos with it.

Let’s enhance our tour by visiting the famous landmarks of the Old Cairo area, especially Coptic Cairo. Our first destination in Coptic Cairo will be Abu Serga Church, or the cavern church. It is the church where the holy family stayed for many days during their flight from Herod the king, who wanted to kill all the children of Bethlehem. The church is very authentic with the holy icons and wooden components of the church.

Then we will see another holy church of the Virgin Mary: It is one of the oldest Orthodox churches in Egypt. The first day of your cruise tour will be dedicated to discovering the East Bank of Luxor, which is one of the best-selling tours in the Luxor day tour to discover the enchanting temples. Our first temple will be the Karnak Temple. The temple is the largest and oldest house of worship in the world, including 11 temples inside it.

Then, we move to another enchanting temple of Luxor: it's connected with Karnak Temple, which has a tall avenue that is the place where important events and celebrations are held. The temple is known for its façade, which includes 6 statues of King Ramses II. The temple plan was put by King Amenhotep III to legalize his rule in Egypt. In addition, the architecture of the temple is characterized by elegance and grandeur. The temple was characterized by two pink granite stone obelisks: one of them has been transferred to Paris, France.

Despite the two temples being for King Amenhotep III, they are called Memnon temples due to a Greek myth that you should ask your tour guide about to discover.

Our third destination will be the Valley of the Kings, where the Egyptian kings chose to be buried. When you visit the valley, you will see the enchanting tombs of kings such as King Tutankhamun and Seti I. The valley also includes tombs for nobles, not only kings. This burial site for kings was carefully chosen as it was located on the west bank of the Nile, believing that the sun god descended (died) on the western horizon, according to the ancient Egyptians' beliefs.
