After this, you will see the Great Sphinx, which is a large statue carved from one stone of limestone. Some historians believe that the statue of the Sphinx is owned by King Chephren, one of the owners of the pyramids. Then you move to see the valley temple, which is owned by King Chephren too, the temple has one of the most unique pharaonic designs. The temple consists of granite-covered limestone. Concerning the floors, it is covered with the Alabaster stone. 

Our next stop will be Saqqara, which includes the oldest tombs in history. The name of Saqqara is derived from the name of the god of the cemetery, Sucre. Saqqara embraces pyramids, temples, and the famous tombs of Serapeum. It was certified a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979 for what exists from great artifacts and possessions of the famous Egyptian kings. One of the most significant is the pyramid of Djoser, which is the first attempt of the idea of building with stone.  The archeologists and historians from around the world care and study the site of Saqqara carefully for the treasures inside it.

Our first fascinating stop is a place that will take you to see the incredible statue of King Ramses II. You will see Memphis, or the city of the white wall which was built by King Narmer in 3200 B.C. It was the capital of old Egypt; the ancient Egyptians called it “Men-Nefr,” and then the Greeks drove it to Memphis.

Be ready in the morning to leave Cairo and travel to Alexandria. The journey between Alexandria and Cairo takes almost two and a half hours, and it is a unique city on the Mediterranean Sea. The city has witnessed many important events and many ruling kingdoms. When you reach Alexandria, you will know in one second by seeing the beautiful view of the blue-colored water and the fresh air. Then start exploring it by seeing 

The first visit will be for the Pompey pillar: This column was formed by the Alexandrians from the granite stone in the sanctuary of the Temple of Serapeum in honor of Emperor Diocletian (248-305 AD). The reason for this fascinating pillar is to thank the emperor for redistributing the quota of wheat , on the top of the base of the column we find an inscribed Greek inscription that you can see during the reflection of sun x-ray on it.             After seeing this, you will be transferred to see the Citadel of Qaitbay. 

The citadel was built on the borders of the ancient island of Pharos, in the same place as the ancient lighthouse of Alexandria. The citadel was built due to the threat from the Ottoman empire, Mamluk Sultan Qunsuwa al-Ghuri weaponized it which has increased it’s importance. Through ages, the different rulers and empires in Egypt cared and developed the citadel to protect Egypt from any threat. Now, It is one of the most beautiful citadel on the Sea. 

Then, Let’s discover the enchanting catacombs of Kom El Shoqqafa , It is one of the world wonders of the middle ages. The catacombs consist of catacombs, statues and artifacts pieces that reflects the traditions of the Egyptian funeral rituals.  It is not just a collection of tombs, but a testament to the finest examples of funerary architecture, where Pharaonic and Roman art are intertwined. The complexity of the layout and the vastness of the space almost makes you forget that it is a funerary cemetery.

Our next step will be the bibliotheca of Alexandria: It was built by Alexander the Great's successors more than 2,000 years ago to house the largest collection of books in the ancient world, about 700,000. It is one of the largest places for research libraries in Alexandria, Egypt and the world. Historians believe that Ptolemy II "Philadelphus" is the real founder for the library, he brought in scholars from the Greek world and provided books from various sources. 

Finally, enjoy the best walk on Alexandria corniche and smell the fresh air with a great view of Stanely bridge.
